I mean Cliff Branch isn't in. You know, the guy who was the NFL's all-time leader in playoff receiving yards when he retired? With 3 Super Bowl rings? 3x All Pro? With 2 different QBs? And 2 diff head coaches? Over 10-year span? 30 years eligible? Psh, Edelman...LOL.

The fact that there is even a conversation for Edelman is disrespectful to the WRs in the HOF and the DOZENS of WRs who are still waiting to get in. This dude has fewer receiving yards than Cliff Branch and Branch was under different rules for his career and a SHORTER SEASON the first leg of his career.

Has Edelman even been a top 20 WR in the league once in his career?

Edelman isnt even worthy of the hall of very good. He good, not very good but who the hell knows with the HOF.

He did have a 6th round pick throwing him the football. Who knows how good he could have been.
 
Rule change expanding role for replay official is expected to pass

The proposal would allow replay officials to “advise the game officials on specific, objective aspects of a play when clear and obvious video evidence is present and/or to address game administration issues” outside of a replay review situation.

Those issues include, but are not limited to, possession, whether a pass is complete, the location of the ball, and whether a player is down by contact. The replay official would not be allowed to call a penalty or pick up a flag thrown by an on-field official.

The NFLPA informed players tonight the NFL doesn’t intend to discipline players in the offseason for “High-Risk COVID Conduct,” such as going to bars and indoor events, per source. So, any players that do go back for in-person offseason workouts won’t have to live in quarantine.

Last season, teams and the league fined players (most notable Dwayne Haskins) for a variety of off-field conduct. The NFLPA memo said the NFL maintains clubs still have the right to discipline players for violating protocols inside facilities, such as refusal to wear a mask.

The NFLPA continues to advise players not to show up for in-person offseason workouts, and players from over half the league’s teams have issued statements through the union saying all or most of them won’t participate. Most teams begin offseason programs Monday.

In a related story, the NFL has also announced that dick-slapping massage therapists is still on its list of prohibited activities.
