I think Agholar is going to eat Ruggs targets as long as he’s here and on the field. I don’t think there is room for both in this offense/with this QB. So it’s Cook/Waller all over again. I’d love be wrong and get them both going though.

David is going to go with the safe "comfortable " option.

Personally I think that we’ve almost done the impossible in finding a WR Derek is comfortable throwing down the field to. That’s worth a small premium in salary IMO. I’m on the keep Agholar train.

Fair point.

We have not been good signing the FA behind the curtain. He’s earned his money. Somebody is going to pay him.

I think most of us wouldn't object to bringing him back but not at a gross overpay. If he is looking for silly money in the $10-12mm , let someone else have him.

The “safe comfortable option” averaged 19 yards a catch and scored 8 touchdowns.... 5 of which were from at least 20 yards out.

I get that, but if we cant figure out a way to get Ruggs involved in the offense then we pissed away another high draft pick. As someone mentioned, Cook was cutting into Waller's reps and now see what we have.

Why is that silly? Isn’t that market rate? If you don’t want to pay FA market rate, but save money b/c of Ruggs/Edwards and a cheaper (better than Jones) stop-gap option, that’s not unreasonable. It’s just far more risky when Agholor/Carr have a good thing going. And we likely would blow that money on a bad FA defensive signing. Lol

Hahaha. Only a $36M cap hit over 3 years ($21.4M in 2021) for Chi.

Turns out Khalil Mack’s contract becomes tradable this offseason and the Bears have no choice but to be aggressive in adding a quarterback. So is it time for the #Raiders to throw picks at the Bears and bring back Mack? https://t.co/Q3tsFWGnG7

On the one hand, we need a pass rush badly.

On the other, he pretty much wrote "Fuck Gruden" in flaming letters in the sky.

If Agholor comes out talking about wanting to be the highest paid guy in the game that’s one thing. But as long as he’s asking something that isn’t completely unreasonable, I think we’re fools to let that comfortability and production walk for the sake of pride in not wanting to be wrong about a draft pick.

Honestly Chicago would be smart to get rid of Nagy and bring in Jim Roman to try and mimic what they’re doing in Baltimore. That fancy shit they’re trying to do there will never work.

Mack + Toorisky for Carr
