The fuck you Reggie thread

Isn't he the guy who's had previous alcohol problems? Maybe we can get him in three months after he finishes rehab.
No one knows what his issues are...I think you're talking about Heckert who got busted on a DUI in Denver last summer along with another front office type. Everyone's been secretive on McCloughan from people thinking it was marital issues (he gave an interview last year about his time with the 49ers and how wanting to not lose focus of how important family is) to people wondering if he has a dope or alcohol problem. I really don't think the latter is it because a team would cover for such a talented guy and steer him toward help. It really wouldn't matter to them if he actually got it because he is good at his job. I personally wonder if it's something to do with his kids because that would be the only reason I'd leave a job that I loved. I know when he recently got promoted in January, being able to spend more time with his kids was specifically brought up, which is why I think that's what it is. I really don't know, but I know that fucker can draft his ass off.

Here's an interview that Tim Kawasaki did with him where he mentions "family stuff" as well from when he got fired from the 49ers and took time off before coming back to the Seahawks.

For me, even if he has another family situation if he came to us, we could let his brother be interim GM while he gets shit cleaned up for a few months and works from home, lol. Write it into his contract that he can take leaves of abscence, shit, I don't care. I want this guy as our next GM. Al was working from his bed half the time over the last few years, so we have organizational precedence.

Also, I used to worry about him hiring a coach, but he never did in SF....Nolin hired him to be the personnel man but had final say on the roster, and he didn't hire Singletary as he wasn't even the GM when the organization elevated him.

With a week to go, McKenzie said the #Raiders draft board is “pretty much set. We’re just talking through things now.”

Asked about Terrelle Pryor, McKenzie said it’s always hard to trade or release player. Were never any discussions about a position change

McKenzie: “Matt Schaub gives us stability (at QB.) We needed that. Doesn’t mean we’re going to bypass on one we’ve graded high.” #Raiders

I used WR as example, & McKenzie said wouldn’t pass on player just because position’s especially deep. “I would rather have great than good”

Vic Tafur @VicTafur · 3h
McKenzie: “We’re going to add impact players.” Went on to say the foundation has been laid and he’s more excited about draft than first two

Ruling is … 2 mini-nuggets from Reggie McKenzie talk: Tyvon Branch is 100 percent, and #Raiders “are drafting for future and not right now”

Like most foundations, it's completely hidden. But to give you some highlights: they created a new filing system, implemented a computerized management system, decided what color file folder means what, assigned an intern and several backups to gather lunch and dinner take-out orders, decided the critical question of android/iOS/Windows for company tablets, digital draft board? now there's an app for that, and the list of foundation items goes on and on. There are pages and pages...

Oh, wait...

You mean football foundation?

Oh, nevermind...

bitch.

No confidence

Yeah about that whole not being able to fuck up an unfuckupable draft... Now I'm dun worried!
I was watching live. I didn't see anything wrong with his answer. He was asked, in general, do you need a guy to have an immediate impact or do you draft him based on what he can do after you develop him. Personally though he was just giving a politically correct answer. He said later he would be looking for an 'impact' guy in the first...

Bridgewater might realistically be there now. I hope this fool doesn't try to split the atom and just pulls the trigger there. If Reggie does that, all is forgiven.

Well, maybe not completely forgiven. But I would call off the assassins for the time being.

Can you imagine the meltdown in here if he drafts a guard or a safety with the 5th pick?
