The fuck you Reggie thread

Gonna be funny if McKenzie nails this draft, Watson and Hayden step up and make the pro bowl and the Raiders win 10 games.

Lot of mea culpa's coming!!!!!
Oh hell no! Gonna be a lot of Egyptians up in here.

Given this slate of games, anything better than 5-11 should be regarded as a major accomplishment.

Oh, bullshit.

Oakland had the most room under the cap this offseason and are supposed to have an NFL caliber head coach.

Making excuses for Mike's pitiful ass and it isn't even May yet. lol

Yep, I don't want to hear this "the schedule is too hard" shit. That's their problem. Turn in another 4-12 or some 3-13 garbage, and their asses need to go.

And then to top it all off, Scott McCloughan apparently has personal problems again, wtf that means, so he might not even be available when Reggie gets it.

It's not an excuse...it's reality. We have a bottom-five roster and face the toughest schedule. We WILL have a new GM next year.

I'm pretty sure the SOS shit typically has little carryover year to year. Some of those teams will be just as good, if not better, than they were last year, and some will be much worse.

I'm so sick of previous excuses or possible excuses:

"We were digging out of the cap hell"
"I didn't want to rent a player (he didn't want to play here")
"We will have the toughest schedule next year"

Enough. Draft some good players Reggie. Coach them up. Find a way to get to .500 or better

What are you talking about? This year's 4-12 team is going to be even better!

:^

Why would you want a guy who's already had to leave two teams for "personal reasons"? o_O

True -- it always happens.

Any of those available?
maybe, I'd have to look, but the point being is that they didn't just pop out of nowhere. They were unknown assistants at some point too.

I'm not against McCloughan, but if he comes in, builds something, and then is followed by a failure, fat lot of good it'd have done. How much impact he had in SEA isn't known, but he was a part of a great winner there.

Maybe he just gets bored when he feels he doesn't have anything to work on, who knows?

He built most of the 49er team that's been to 3 straight NFC championship games and nearly won the Super Bowl. Then he shows up in Seattle as the top college scout on a team that everyone touts how they find all these hidden gems late in the draft and they just win the Super Bowl. Give me some of that....even if he just works for 3 years and has to go back home....I don't care. He's had a large hand in building the two most dominant rosters in football.

There's been some guys who've done that and not bailed on their teams too.

I don't know what he's dealing with. What if it's an Andy Reid situation...no one knows? Al I know is that the 49ers have had their window open for years largely on the back of players he brought in, and the Seahawks have drafted an awful lot of not ordinary players late in the last few drafts since he got there, and thus their Super Bowl window is currently going to be wide open for a few years, too.

They say the 49ers flat out fired him over a power struggle in the building (mainly that he didn't think Singletary was coaching material). However, this time, he does seem to have some shit going on at the homefront. It popped up out of the blue because he's been all in on that job, turning down a chance to interview in Miami for one, and just got a promotion. It might be some real serious shit, and I can't knock him for putting his family first if that's the case.

McCloughan is apparently going freelance in the meantime....do you think Reggie at least has sense enough to use that? He didn't actually fire his Pops and allowed him to "retire," as opposed to what happened to Kingdon and Kebric, lol, so maybe he can even get a discount.
