Senior Bowl week!

I think Raji is going to be much better than the overhyped Glen Dorsey. If he runs a 4.3 at the combines, Al will be sure to pick him.:D

I'd be happy with either Mack or Unger. Both are versatile enough to play elsewhere on the line.

Phil Loadholt is what? 8 ft tall or something?

He towers over 6'2 guys

That dudes like a circus freak or something

RT rd 3?

Gimmie

They say Loadholt projects to be a RT. Has problems with the speedy edge rushers. He got abused by Orapkoe in the Tex-Okl game. Another mid round guy I'd look at is Alex Boone.

I like Raji's size for a 3-4 NG, but haven't seen enough of him to know if his style fits that role

I think he's ideal in more or a Jamal Williams than Ted Washington way...

Herman Johnson: 6-7 382

I thought this was a misprint at first.... Jesus.... Not exactly a great fit for the zone blocking system though, that is if we're even keeping that chop socky thing....

I think people undersell Raji passrush ability...

The guy had more sacks than Dorsey as a senior, with 8.5 and 16 TFL's. (Thats with the bowl game included)...Those are huge numbers right there with Sedrick Ellis.

He's super explosive, and the only guy I've seen who had a shot at containing him in the senior bowl has been Alex Mack, the consensus #1 Center. (And Raji is winning at this point anyways)

I like him a lot as a 4-3 NT or a guy you could move all along the line when needed. He's got enough athletic ability to be a force in the middle.

Its an excersise in futility, considering the fact we'd never draft him at #7, but Im starting to lean that way now.

It's always tough to judge DLinemen when there's more than one NFL guy in the group.

Ryan Sims, for example. Looked dominant. Might have had more to do with playing alongside Julius Peppers.

Wonder if Brace and Raji aren't helped a bit more by each other.

Still, wouldn't mind a starting DL of Kelly-Raji-Richardson with LBs Howard-Morrison-Brown-Alston (or whomever -- Kalimba, Burgess if he's willing) behind.

Alston looked like lightning off the edge against Tampa.

.

Brace is a power machine.. #2 on my big board in rd 2 behind Mack

The dude just bull rushes... tremendous agaisnt the run

I really like the collection of 2nd and 3rd rd'ers in this draft much more than the collection in the 1st. I would hope the Raiders could some how muster up a early 3rd or late 2nd for Huff

A team picking in the top 7 like the Raiders could fix one of their lines in one shot in this draft and not have to worry about it for a long long time

1)Oher- LT
2)Mack - Center
3) Loadholt -RT

or

1) Raji -DT
2) Ron Brace -DT
3) Connor Barwin - DE

I've watched this guy tear my Bulls a new ass the last several years..

I love Barwin... mad, mad closing speed as a DE and the dude can play TE on goal line stance or in a pinch as you all saw at practice yesterday

He's like 2 players in 1

Raji just tore it up today, 2nd day in a row..... that dude is going top 10.. bank it

My boy Louis Delmas was on fire.. early 2nd late 1st pick fer sure

The South practice starts at 5pm.. NFLN

Gonna keep an eye on a couple cats like Maualuga etc

If we take a defensive player at #7 it'd better be Raji. Really wouldn't be disappointed if we 'reached' for him a little. Just nice to see we should be able to improve our DT, OT, or WR position with our first two (and possibly three) picks. Encouraging to say the least, although Al will probably go for the speedy DB's....:(

I hear ya raiderfreak.

For once we might fall backwards into the right pick at #7.

There's no safety rated that high, no RB we need, no QB to pull the trigger on...

The best rated players are OT's and WR's (Smith-Monroe-Oher-Smith-Maclin-Crabtree) and there are a couple defensive players climbing fast who Im intrigued by...

Raji and Everette Brown among them.

I think Orakpo goes before we pick though.

Crabtree. an OT, and Raji, can't really go wrong.

Watch this be the year we finally trade down.

If Cable is the HC next year with the ZBS kept in place, I'd stay away from picking LT at 7. I think Henderson showed against top notch talent that he's finally ready to start there.

Crabtree/Brown/Orakpo/Raji in the 1st and then either of your choices for 2 & 3 work for me.

IIRC, Mack can play G as well, correct? If Grove locked down the C spot, Mack could slide over to RG. and if Loadholt can play the ZBS, then the Oline would be set.

Getting another run plugger at DT would be nice as well. I miss Sam Adams, the fat bastard.

This Raji dude sounds intriguing... 6'2", 330 is built like a fuggin tank... way beefier than those two lightweights that came out last season and shit the bed. You have to bring some size to play inside in this league, or you have to have super rare quickness, which doesn't happen very often.

I'm totally down with a bowling ball DT that can control the inside and give us half a dozen sacks a season while freeing up Kelly to earn all that jack... but you guys really believe Al would draft a DT that wasn't 6' 5", 330 or pass on a burner like Maklin at #7?

Raji would go along way in shoring up our DL problems. Get Tank Johnson in here and we should have a pretty solid rotation. Someone needs to go Tonya Harding on Malcolm Jenkins leg because I have a strange feeling that dope Al Davis has him at the top of his list.

Raji is a longshot right now. But if we get an OT in free agency, and Crabtree goes before us, who knows?

I wanted to be the one to TP the 007 house... but Turk already mentioned the guy we should be worried about that has Al written all over him:

Malcom Jenkins 6'0 200 lbs 4.37 40 Bump and run abilities

I would love to see us trade down multiple times out of 7, stockpile some draft picks, and then take Alex Mack a little early... It feels strange for the Raiders not to have a great center, and Mack has looked like a potentially great center for the past three years...

C'mon...Who gets credit for starting the BJ Raji round one Jihad? At the very least I should get a mention in there.:D

I know a couple jabrones who started that weaksauce 'Ron Brace in round 3' jihad, but this is where its at!

BJ Raji #7 overall pick.

PS HB: Raji smacked Mack in the mouth again today. ;) I'd take a flier on Luigs or Unger in round 3 if they are still around.

Sounds like a good plan to me.

Other than Crabtree... I don't see another player that helps us like a real solid DT would, where we're picking.

Those one-on-one drills give the defense even more advantage than they already have cause of all the space they have to work with. Game time's alittle different.
