I've got the day off, so I'll be watching.

Im no scout, but I'll see if I have any worthwhile observations.

I've heard Eugene Monroe isnt playing which is a bummer.
 
* Connor Barwin is running TE routes at the moment on offense...Interesting

* Rhett Bohmar is built like a brick shithouse. 6-2 1/2 225. Looks solid too.

* The RB's and TE's are chewing up LB's in coverage drills.
 
Iglesias with a couple drops;

Ramses Barden is HUGE.

Brandon Gibson (my sleeper) is looking good. **Edit** 3 for 3 so far. One deep two other beautys. Mayock giving him praise

Robiskie is looking really good. Mayock giving him huge props, said he's underrated due to all the juniors.

CB's in general getting owned.
 
Connor Barwin story:

Unheralded out of HS, played solid TE for coaching staff, HC decides he needs a DE and move Barwin in spring practices, he ends up getting 11 sacks and becomes first team all big east.

Never bitched once, according to the announcers.
 
Alex Mack versus BJ Raji was sweet!

Mack won pretty decisively, IMO.

Loadholt looked really good at RT, controlled Jamison and another DE with ease.
 
And to show you how good Mack is:

Raji just sacked the QB two plays in a row his next series against Trevor Canfield.

Raji checked in at 6-2 334 by the way...Im starting to like him at 7, perhaps..
 
Ron Brace: 6-3 329 at the weigh ins. Looking OK inside.

Mayock says he's a push the pocket NT in the NFL.

Loadholt check in at 6-8 342 and has played both edges well.
 
Raji beat Mack clean in round two. Mack was at G, and lost on a swim move and a spin.

Brace pushed Unger into the QB on both his attempts, LOL.
 
That King kid from Iowa has looked really good.

Raji looks really strong although Mack has held his own.

How about Raji in 1 and Mack in the 2nd:D
 
Weigh-ins are up on a couple sites.

Ramses Barden size and hands blow me away...

The only guy with bigger hands than Barden was Herman freakin' Johnson.

We need to trade up into late rd 1 and grab him
 
Mack got owned by Raji in the second round of one on ones.

Unger got most of the C snaps after that.
 
Its good there are some defensive lineman that may be worth looking at at #7. We need much help in the trenches. I just hope we draft at least 1OL and 1WR with our first three picks. Luckily for us this draft is loaded with guys who would start at OL for us. If we go with OL in the first 2 rounds and WR in Rnd3 i will not be mad.

Herman Johnson at RT?
 
If crabtree is gone at 7, I wouldn't mind going Raji-1, Mack-2, and best WR available in round 3

I like Raji's size for a 3-4 NG, but haven't seen enough of him to know if his style fits that role

I hope whoever we bring in can convince Al to switch to a 3-4, as it seems that this league and the players coming into it are making the 3-4 the prototypical defense. Hopefully we can start building that train before it's too late.
