Seems like he's setting up an excuse for why he didn't take it is what it looks like to me unless the Jaguar owner makes his wildest dreams comes true and gives him a Matt Rhule type of package.

Wouldn't Meyer want to have far more control than the Khans are willing to give him? Not only is the son involved, but now Shad is supposedly going to be heavily involved in the football operations? Doesn't sound like the right fit for a guy with Meyer's pedigree.

Why I think he wants $12 mil a year or something crazy to take it or else he doesn't want to take it. He knows that franchise is a mess. Khan was all in the media cycle talking about he's going to be involved with the draft picks like this is fantasy football or some shit.

Put on top of that that their ballot initiative to get public money to develop around the stadium got voted down, which means who knows what is going to happen with the franchise long term or if that means more London games, and dude isn't taking that job unless Khan gives him some Gruden type of money.

He's been planting that assembling a staff shit for a while too. This is the same stuff Gruden used to do every year, which is why it's so easy to see what he's doing for me. When he finally came back, it didn't leak to these media mouthpieces that he was assembling a staff. You got confirmation from prominent people on record pretty quickly that it was going down and we'll figure all of that other shit out later.

I'm telling you when Urban wants a job, he doesn't fuck around. He doesn't assemble a staff like he's one of these scrub coaches who has to convince powerbrokers that he can hire good people. Dude is connected with everyone and knows he can just make a couple of calls to get who he wants.

Meyer will pick the job he wants when he wants it and has leveraged all the angles and perks.

The 2021 Jax HC job is likely the best opening that has popped up in the league in 2-3 years.

1) By far the most cap space in 2021
2) An absolute boat load of draft picks due to trades including #1 overall and more next year
3)A young roster with a ton of quality pieces already in place
4) A weak division that is ripe for the picking
5) An owner that wants to win and is among the richest people on the planet

He’s gonna get his pick of the litter on this one.

I just hope the Chargers pick another Anthony Lynn type guy.

All the HC dominos will fall soon. Everyone scrambling to get their staffs in order and figure out if anyone is getting a Jon Gruden deal before signing on the line lol.

Bill Parcells was buddies with Al too. Didn't mean he ever wanted to work for him. He actually was one of the reasons Payton didn't come here.

I'll just believe it when I see it, and I don't think it would be a bad hire like most are saying. I have been telling my FSU crossover Jag fan buddies that he might do well with that job. It sounds better than a lot of the names I've seen.
