OK so what is your plan RE: QB

I think @phxraida15 idea of Hundley is pretty solid- Won't even cost a draft pick- Why not kick the tires? kids got 4 years of solid NFL coaching on his resume with the Packers and Seahawks-
He looked great in preseason when I watched him I would have started him over Kyler Murray in a heartbeat

He was pretty bad in the regular season when Green Bay played him...

Worth a shot as competition with Peterman for the back up spot

Haha riiiiight. Our team, that was on the verge of having a winning season and maybe making the playoffs, falters and stumbles badly.. shitting the bed, finding ways to lose .. and then we had the hyenas here dancing on our grave celebrating. Yeah, I told all y'all to get fucked and left the thread.

Now you want to play it off like that's my normal level, lol

That's funny and weak sauce.

Emotional screeching would be complaining about "David", eyeliner, turtle pussy, etc.. and doing so 24/7/365 like he's the sole/main reason we haven't won more games (pay no attention to the worst defense in the league, or any of the other contributing factors).

You guys are adorable.
Most people here were actually scared Carr would do just enough to go 9-7 and make the playoffs. People would singing his praises saying he could take us all way. Fortunately his true colors showed threw and he tanked the season.

Yup.

He did just enough to give some fans hope and open up the discussion that he's the guy for another year or two.

Worst case scenario.

#CARR2022

Plan on these boards seems to be to fix every other part of the team except QB, hope that is enough, and if it isn't, then pay a team of all-start for a few years while a young QB develops. Seems we can't risk a short-term dropoff bringing in a rookie QB while our team is ass, but we can risk it while our imaginary team is superbowl ready.

Get a damn QB now while we are building a team. We have the offense in place.

They keep losing in Vegas and more than Carr will be gone.

Agree 100%.
Huge mistake if they keep David.

Doesn’t really matter if you don’t have the QB.

Best example is Seattle in 2011. That defense was stacked and yet they were like 9-7. They drafted Wilson and he got them to 11-5 in 2012 and they won the SB in 2013 and went to another in 2014. They haven’t been worse than 9-7 in 8 years since they got their QB. They got lucky no doubt but it shows how important having the QB is. Without that piece you’re pissing in the wind.

Don't lump me in on that crap idea.

I think it takes longer and lasts for less time when you attempt to build up a super squad to prop up a mediocre QB.

Unfortunately its where we are headed and what most think is the prudent choice.

I think Roget's Thesaurus lists "prudent" as a synonym for "chickenshit". With Carr at QB, our ceiling is a wild-card team. Cincy did this for years and years with Dalton and have absolutely nothing to show for it.

Carr will do just enough to keep us from a great QB. Tua is being mocked to SD at 6. Hopefully we get a great WR this year at least. Then a couple years with Carr he'll be disenfranchised and we'll trade him away.

You wind up patching the roster as contracts expire like this

While David keeps poking holes in the cylinder.

Except now they have Joe Burrow. FML

A 4-12 season last year would have us staring at Tua and not having to debate if Carr should get his 8th season anymore.

Build up the team and draft a QB simultaneously.

People think its one or the other LOL.

Continue to build up the team and draft a QB.
which one with which pick? That's all I'm saying. If you are saying let's draft Eason at 19, I can get behind that. I hate to sound like @NIPS but all this Carr sucks needs to go (I don't disagree) but not offering up the plan gets kind of old.
I do not think Gruden is down with going with Peterman, Hundley, or any other retread into Vegas next year. If we want Eason or Love or Herbert we are going to likely have to use one of our first rounders.
All I'm saying is don't just say get rid of Carr-- like no shit-- but offer up your plan or it's just bitching which is old and tired.
