Game Day thread + NY Gee-Men week *2023*

Apparently it’s a thing

Apparently the O under AP is going to have an identity. Step 1 accomplished. Gonna need Adams to make the NYJ pay for playing man-to-man D.

This won’t get old

Yes, Maxx, we know you used to be an alcoholic. Shut up about it.
Recovering addicts have to talk about it and be overly honest. It helps them stay recovered, because feeling any shame or need to keep anything away from people creates habits that can lead back into addiction.

In short, if he wants to talk about it, better to let him. Even it means countless pregames bringing it up for fodder.

I like Tre and all that but he's a fall down catcher. If he had just kept his feet that was a TD.

He has trouble tracking the ball in the air with his body.
Agree. It looked like he slowed up a tad when he didn’t have to. The ball was on the money. He miscalculated while tracking the ball.

The Giants have a bunch of Walmart greeters on their OL, have to take some of this in context but damn that was fun.

Aidan needs to lose the stache, looks like he wants to audition for the next sooper troopers movie... Grow a beard damnitt.

Every win knocks us out of the Williams/Maye sweepstakes but I'll take it, we'd just fuck it up anyway. Take the best OL on the board and build the rest of the team.

Jacobs said Bo asked him and the OL which runs they liked best, and that’s what he called today. He also called a lot of 5 wide formations, which neutralized the pass rush / blitz with O’Connell quickly getting the ball out. I want to see that against the Jets.

Just mentioned this last week about how Hue did this with McFadden, which made a big difference, and how we haven't had too much of that going on with coaching for a long time. So simple, but you have dickheads worried about running their system more than getting the most out of the players they have.

McGenius system is perfect and you’re just a hater.

That was always the concern with McD… too damn infatuated with his own system thinking that was THE answer. The really good coaches know how to use and get the best out of the players they have, not squeeze / force fit players into their predetermined system.

Can you imagine these marathon half day meetings he was having where he was berating the players and saying only if you ran what I told you, we would be winning? No accountability for himself whatsoever.
It’s called last Thursday apparently.

Williams/Maye who ? A lot of people parroting how great these two are. I don't see it. No one really knows if they will be great, average or busts. So I don't see gambling on those two by tanking. Let's see how the team is looking at the end of the season.
