2020 Offseason Roster

Standard in-division pick up. Yep, fuck him.
Played with Mahomes in college, too. Last I read the Chiefs had $177 in cap space, not a typo, so I'm sure it's a minimal deal. I'm thankful for the guy getting me some fantasy points last season and helping me win my championship but his 2019 was defined by that atrocious 4th down run... was it against the Texans? Had a hole you could've ran a truck through and ran into his own lineman.

They moved or redid a couple contracts a week or so back. Before Washington, they had about $3.5MM in space.

Prices keep going up, including for the best perceived backup. Mariota’s cap hit this year (which includes expected to be earned incentives) is actually $9.125M. $7.5M was simply what was guaranteed. Thus, it’s a nice bump in pay for the perceived best back-up. For that investment, the Raiders received an option for ‘21. There will be no cap hit if the Raiders cut Mariota, but he’ll be on the books for $10.1M if not. If Mariota starts, he could earn an additional $28M over 2 years per OTC.

Chances are, Crosby’s not getting 10+ sacks next year if history is any indication, but Raider Nation is full of believers.

32 including Crosby and Josh Allen last year. So 12 of the 30 did it again the second year.

The Mad Raider @RaiderLoot
@JoshDubowAP need some context for meaning here: how many rookies have had 10+ sack seasons?

80.5% believe Crosby will be 13th player to start career w/ 2 straight 10+ sack seasons. The others: Joey Bosa Von Miller Aldon Smith Clay Matthews Jr. Shawne Merriman Terrell Suggs Kevin Williams Dwight Freeney Jevon Kearse Burt Grossman Derrick Thomas Garin Veris

I wouldn't be surprised to see less sacks but still looking like a better overall player. Sacks are kind of an inconsistent stat for pass rushers and don't always tell the whole story. Crosby seems like he has a knack for 'finishing' though and some pass rushers lose out on a bunch of sacks by just barely missing. Crosby didn't seem to miss many sack opportunities... hopefully that continues. If Ferrell can improve on the other end and Nassib brings a little help that'll only be a plus for Crosby.

#Raiders Clelin Ferrell aims to become 6th 1st-round pick since 2000 to go from fewer than 5 sacks as rookie to 10+ in year 2. The others:
John Abraham 4.5 to 13
Mario Williams 4.5 to 14
Jason Pierre-Paul 4.5 to 16.5
Khalil Mack 4 to 15
Vic Beasley 4 to 15.5
Yea, no. Did he ever have 10+ sacks in college?

Something still has to give after the draft:

After signing Randall, Raiders have $8.128 million in salary-cap space, according to a daily public report issued Thursday morning by the NFL Players Association. That’s a smidge under the roughly $9.4 million OverTheCap.com estimates required to sign their NFL draft class as currently slotted, but certainly not a big deal that won’t have to be addressed until picks start signing in May and June.
