2020 Offseason Roster

Richie, Good, Devey, Kush, Jackson, Hudson and Andre James in the interior.

A lot of interior lineman LMFAO.

And 3 of them can play center. Might push a "developmental" guy off the roster. James is currently that guy (and not one I want to give up on yet).

If James can swing for either Guard position, then his spot should be locked up. He filled in pretty damned well for Hudson last year.
Re-watched the Texans game last week when Hudson got hurt and James stepped in. Had some good snaps coming in cold. Hopefully he improves a little more and completely locks up that backup spot behind Hudson... that's a huge role on our offense and Huddy isn't getting any younger if he gets hurt again.

IIRC, he didn't allow a sack, and only 3 hurries. I'll have defer to Sleet, the Stat Master General.

No doubt, he gives me some hope in case Hudson does go down again. Keyed in on him against DJ Reader a few times and he more than held his own. I thought in later games he got beat bad a few times but as a UDFA rookie I expect him to keep getting better... good find for Mayock.

With Good, Devey, Kush, James, Cotton, Gabe’s in trouble, me thinks. Mayock’s lined up enough depth to enable Good to start if Gabe refuses to restructure.

yeah those numbers would indicate that to me too

Report: Damarious Randall to sign one-year deal with Raiders
Posted by Curtis Crabtree on April 3, 2020, 12:21 AM EDT

After having a contract fall through with cornerback Eli Apple, the Las Vegas Raiders have found another option to bolster their secondary.

According to Josina Anderson of ESPN.com, former Cleveland Browns safety Damarious Randall has agreed to terms with the Raiders on a one-year deal.

Randall was one of the top free agents still left unsigned from our top 100 list. Only Jameis Winston, Jadeveon Clowney and Logan Ryan rated higher on the list of unsigned players.

Randall has spent the last two seasons with the Browns after spending his first three years with the Green Bay Packers. Randall appeared in 11 games for Cleveland last season. It was the first year of his career he didn’t record a single interception after tying a career-high with four in 2018.

The Raiders had reached an agreement with Apple in the first week of free agency only for the final contract to not come together between the two sides on Thursday. Apple is not back on the market and Randall is heading to Las Vegas instead.

way better than apple

Mayock before that year's draft...

"Randall is what today's free safety is all about. He is by far the best cover safety in this draft. Randall can play man-to-man; he has cornerback-level cover skills. You give up some physicality, but his coverage ability is where the NFL is going. Remember Jimmie Ward was a first-rounder last year (to the 49ers) with a similar skill set." -- Mike Mayock
