May as well load up to pound the rock to help our 6th ranked QB and 59th ranked D
Would anyone bitch about drafting an all pro OG?
Becton can play guard and swing out if anyone gets hurt
Becton and Trent side by side would be a fucking wall
What could go wrong?I heard some rumblings about maybe trading for Brandon Cooks
Wondering if this means Raiders are preparing to head into 2020 with Gabe Jackson at RG.
The chance that Gabe actually takes a *paycut* is slim/none. If you create space against the cap on an existing contract, it's almost always the way the Raiders restructured Hudson's contract. That is to turn base salary or non-guaranteed roster bonus into a prorated signing bonus. This just spreads the hit against multiple cap years. But this also leads to further cap liabilities (i.e. dead cap) in future years. No way the Raiders tie themselves to Gabe further. And most agents are loath to *remove* money from contracts.
Mostly just depth.I don't think we would lose a thing going from Gabe Jackson at 9.6 million to say John Simpson for 500k.
50+ games at Clemson at OG. We know Mayock watched the CFB at least.

at 12? yes. We have desperate need for a #1 WR and there should be at least one available at that pick. at 19? I'd take a swing but it would be at the expense of another huge need.
sure. but the dropoff from ruggs/jeudy/lamb to mims is... fairly large.Deep WR class... you could get Mims who is a perfect fit at WR at 19
I don't think Jefferson is that far off.sure. but the dropoff from ruggs/jeudy/lamb to mims is... fairly large.
Is it? This is a brutally tough position to evaluate and none of these guys are Julio, AJ, or Megatron. It depends on your offense and what you’re looking for. Jefferson is probably a good slot, but I don’t see him as a sure thing on outside, and some of the size speed freaks are ranked lower. I like Juedy and won’t hate the pick, but I see more Calvin Ridley than devonte Adams.sure. but the dropoff from ruggs/jeudy/lamb to mims is... fairly large.
I think Mims is a monster.
One caveat being that I rank every receiver in the first round every year.
LESTER COTTON TIME baby!
That’s a pretty big negative...I like Mims too, he has all the attributes- he just lacks separation.
What do you expect with a 24th ranked scoring offense? I won't pass judgment until he gets a top ten ranked offense.Ferrell needs weapons around him before we can evaluate him properly...
Devey resigned
