2017 Off Season Thread

That's certainly the hope.
Guy lasted what, two plays last time he came back from injury? Whoever goes after him better have a good backup plan in place. Maybe they can work a 3 way trade to get McGloin there as a package....lol

Lynch looks awful for one. With that defense and a healthy Romo they are legit contenders again that's why. No reason he couldn't get Romo and work on shoring up the OL as well.
No they aren't contenders. Their OL stinks, Paradis the C is the only decent guy. The RT they signed last year Stephenson was bad. Okung won't get his contract option picked up. What FA LT are they gonna sign to keep Romo upright all year? Did everyone forget he's made of glass?

Living in the Rocky Mountain region, I pretty much watch every donkeys game or listen to non-stop chatter, like it or not, and their downfall started upfront. I hate to say it, but Semen looked pretty decent considering it was his 1st year starting. He was no worse than the Forehead/Assweiler the year before, although obviously they lost the coach on the field aspect w Manning. Semen is a smart dude though, showed pretty well considering he was essentially a rookie.

I could be wrong, but I just don't see Romo in orange next year.

The Raiders, who apparently won’t be having to replace director of player personnel Joey Clinkscales this year, may already have an in-house substitute in mind, if/when someone else makes Clinkscales a General Manager.

The team has promoted midwest scout Trey Scott to the position of Assistant Director of Player Personnel. Scott, 28, has spent five prior seasons with the team. Before that, he worked for Washington.

Scott arrived in Oakland with Clinkscales and others in May 2012. Both are names to watch, especially if this year’s playoff berth from the Raiders is a sign of things to come.

Can this guy coach defense?

Apparently Clinkscales might be a hot commodity after this season according to the article

They better nail the draft

McCaffrey is 6' and 200 lbs...not a midget. The guy can lineup all over the field.

You're not gonna make a living banging him inside, I wouldn't expect.

Maybe you're into that sort of thing. I dunno.

He's a little taller than those guys, but he ain't big. Same weight, +/- a chili cheese burger combo, as our two 5'8 Keebler elves.

Best bet, imo, is to use him as if he were a midget.

The Jaguars have announced the hiring on Tyrone Wheatley as their new running backs coach.

Wheatley previously coached under new Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone in the college ranks and with the Bills.

Wheatley, 44, had a 10-year career as an NFL running back with the Giants and Raiders. He’s spent the last two seasons as running backs coach at his alma mater, Michigan.

“I am excited to have Tyrone join our staff and work with our running backs,” Marrone said in a statement. “I have worked with him for five years and know the type of leader and teacher that he is. He is an exceptional coach and will bring out the best in his players. He brings a charisma, attitude and Super Bowl-playing experience to the staff that will be vital.”

The Jaguars reportedly interviewed Chip Kelly for their offensive coordinator job on Monday.
