OK so what is your plan RE: QB

The Hundley Idea is the best one I’ve seen yet. Bring him in and cut Glennon and Kizer. Let Peterman and Hundley and Carr duke it out. Carr likely wins but we might hit on one of the other two. Before you mock me on Peterman he actually looked pretty good in preseason and is real athletic and not afraid to use his legs. Both guys are young enough to have upside. and maybe we find our Gannon that way. Both have higher wonderlic scores than Carr too :chuckle:

If Gruden moves on, does it make this in turn an unintelligent review?

Gruden inherited Carr, much the way he inherited Jeff George in his first go around... it will all come down to how much belief he has that Carr can overcome his faults and win... we've already seen how much Gruden believed in the rest of the roster he inherited... I think ultimately Gruden is going to live or die with a guy of his own choosing... Gruden is such a stickler for detail that the lack of field vision has got to be driving him looney IMO

John Madden said it best, you're going to be judged by your decisions, don't let anyone make them for you.

I don't think you're far off. We stashed Peterman for a reason. Jon is going to want to get another look at him at least.

The main problem with this is that Carr is probably a better practice QB than either of them. When he is wearing the red jersey and doesn't have to worry about being hit, he's Joe Montana, Jr.

Somehow or other, this keeps fooling Gruden into thinking he will be the same QB when the bullets start flying.

I don't think it's fooling anyone, I think Gruden has just felt he hasn't had better options. I would just rather see us continue to build up both sides of the ball than reach for suspect QB prospect. If we had pick 1 it's an easy decision. I'm out on Tua as talented as he is-- can't stay on the field you no good to me.
If/when the opportunity presents itself that there's a guy we think could be THE guy then you go take that swing. Maybe Gruden pushes Carr harder to run/scramble and he gets hurt and we get a look at one of the other two. Maybe Carr throws it away on 4th down for the last fucking time and Gruden makes a change at QB there on the spot. Who knows?

I'm hoping we draft a QB and ride with Peterman in 2020.
Oh yeah. And trade David during the draft.

We should be so lucky to start a poor man’s Gardner Minshew.

Peterman starting year one in Vegas?

GTFO that Gruden is gonna do that hahahaha.

Hoping it will happen doesnt make it true.

Nobody thinks that lol. Just that maybe Gruden thinks he has a diamond in the rough there.

How did I miss this?

t didn’t take long for Hall of Famer Ed Reed to walk back his aggressive comments about Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr. It was just on Friday when the former Baltimore Ravens safety was on The Rich Eisen Show and said that Carr was “trash“ and suggested that Colin Kaepernick would be a better option at quarterback for Oakland. Raider fans obviously weren’t happy with what he had to say, so he took to Twitter to apologize to Carr.
