He said before the draft there were 4 players he was focused on.

Does anyone believe DHB was one of those?

If not what message does this send to the team who is in charge

Cable just got the rug ripped from under him

No...right now Tom Cable is calling Lane Kiffin and asking if there's any room on his staff. He's gotta be freaking PISSED right now!!!

Yeah Cable is a puppet. Nothing to do with him here.

Thats an Al pick through and through.

If its ANY consolation, DHB is a hard worker and a good kid.

Great...that will probably serve him well when he needs to get a real job 3 years from now after he washes out of the NFL.

I don't care how nice a guy is...if he can't play then I don't want him.

There was a brief interview with Cable on KHTK after the pick.He says DHB was "our pick all along" (sound familiar). And that with the trades they had made he was comfortable with the state of the OL......

My 2 cents is: the draft ain't over yet but this pick doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling either.

:::sigh:::

Jet, Porter, Morant, this guy's not going anywhere. He'll be playing -- IN CRABTREE'S SHADOW -- for a long time. And it will hurt every Sunday.

What hurts the most is the I wanted Monroe, Raji, and Crabtree, and ALL THREE WERE THERE.

Amen brother. Amen.

Monroe is better than Clady, and Crab will have a BIG chip on his shoulder.

Can Bey even beat out Higgins and Schilens for a starting spot?

I think the signing of Barnes and Pears, with Cable openingly gushing over the "Big 4," sent a clear signal that Al was going WR. We all (but one) just hoped it was Crabtree (or even Maclin or Harvin), not Bey.

NOt this year. He'll be a gimmick WR I bet.

I suffering through the feeling I sure I'll be feeling shortly after kick-off on Monday Night to open the season.

Lets not jump the kid before we even see him play. He may be a pleasent suprise.
