Super Bowl LV

MaHolmes looked slow as shit. He wasn't moving like his usual self. Not the only reason they lost the game but having him hobbled and not extending plays was huge for TB. He usually breaks your back on a good defensive call when he sneaks out of the pocket or spin moves outside etc. He wasn't getting any space to throw last night.

Good defense and a fast front 7 def deserve credit. But lets not pretend he was even close to 100%.

A big issue nobody seems to be TOO concerned with: MAN those injuries are starting to pile up for him. I dont think he ends up having a super long career. Could be wrong bc he seems very competitive. But his play style is injury prone.

Tampa Bay had him rolling to his left all night, he’s not effective when he’s going that way. A little adjustment in your scheme like that, makes a huge impact. Meanwhile we had a dummy trying to set up a double jump in checkers.

Mahomes looked perfectly fine dashing off the field at the end of the game.

Why coverage matters.

It's not all on the pass rush. Mahomes was 27 for 32 for 262 yards, 2 TDs and 121.6 rating vs #Raiders this season when getting rid of ball in less than 2.5 seconds. Not much time for pass rush to get there

Insisting on extending plays gives your receivers more time to get open and gives you openings to scramble. It also gives, large, fast and angry defenders more opportunities to put shots on you. Those shots add up over time.

Bowles knew Reid’s pass-first mo/ego.

This is how much TB respected the KC run game. Played pass first on RPO's.

Nobody runs on Tampa though. New Orleans is about the only team that can, and their offensive line is way better than KC's or probably anybody's for that matter.

It's why I love Bowles. The first thing he said when he got here to AZ and I'm sure he told those guys when he got there was we're going to stop the run.. They've been first against the run the last two years.

Even when they stunk most of last year, you couldn't run on them. It gives your defense an identity to build on. Contrast that to the Guenther program.

Fat Andy had five man protections on 92% of dropbacks with that shit offensive line. Maybe Dwight Smith is on to something, lol. It's been two days, and I just can't understand that game plan on any level unless they were supposed to lose or some shit. It doesn't make sense.
