Sal Paoloantonio had some real interesting stuff about Sanchez, and his possible landing spot:

Sanchez Situation Getting Interesting
Posted by Mike Florio on April 23, 2009, 12:02 p.m.
At a time when much of the focus falls on the question of when and if the Lions will do a deal with Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford as the No. 1 overall pick, the other big-name quarterback is continuing to stir things up.

According to Sal Paolantonio of ESPN, intrigue is developing surrounding USC quarterback Mark Sanchez.

Several teams are involved — the Seahawks, Browns, Redskins, and Jets, for starters.

One scenario involves the Redskins moving from No. 12 13 to No. 4 (a spot held by Seattle), drafting Sanchez, and then trading Jason Campbell to the Vikings, Bucs, or Jets.

The Browns also are supposedly interested in taking Sanchez at No. 5 and trading Brady Quinn, to the Bucs or the Jets.

Per Paolantonio, the Jets are the team most interested in Quinn. But the Jets also are inclined to try to beat the ‘Skins to Sanchez.

If Sanchez is on the board after pick No. 5, we’ve been told that the action is likely at No. 8, with the Jags trading down with the Redskins or the Jets.

Gonzo and Cutler gone, Crabtree and Monroe 'slipping' to the #7 pick...

Im getting revved up on this one!

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Atlanta Falcons have acquired TE Tony Gonzalez from the Kansas City Chiefs for a 2010 second-round draft choice, according to sources.

A 2010 2nd? Wow.

Does this now open the door for Michael Crabtree to KC?

K.C. is supposed to be in love with Tyson Jackson. I don't know much about him, but would he be someone the Raiders should consider?

KC , i believe, will trade down as someone will take Sancez at 3. They could get Jackson, and maybe a guy like Maybin, or Lauranitis who'll both be goos fits in the 3-4. Curry at 3, not worth the money he'll be owed. That position can almost always be addressed later in the draft, late round 1, or 2,3 etc.

Yeah, I really don't know about going after a 3-4 DE in the top 10. Not for what you're going to ask the guy to do, and not for as long as it will take him to do it well at the NFL level. That's NOT an instant impact position. And in the 1st you want instant impact.

OLB, yeah.

2-gap DE, no.

What a great move to make the Oakland Raiders jealous - they love their speed

The plot continues to thicken with the Cleveland Browns’ wide receiver situation.

University of Maryland wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey, the fastest player at the NFL Scouting Combine with a 4.30 time in the 40-yard dash, is scheduled to conduct a private workout for Browns team officials Friday morning in College Park, Md., according to Ken Murray of the Baltimore Sun.

The Browns have been shopping wide receiver Braylon Edwards, albeit unsuccessfully thus far, and have also scheduled a workout Friday with Rutgers wide receiver Kenny Britt.

Also, offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and offensive quality control coach George McDonald worked out University of Georgia wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi earlier this week. A league source told us the workout went very well.

Does all of this activity add up to Edwards being traded? If it’s all just an elaborate smokescreen, which I tend to doubt, then you have to give the Browns a little credit for giving their NFL competitors and the media something to think about.

Tired of waiting til saturday!

break out some paper work!

whats next!

GO Raiders

Perfect.. The Chiefs leading WR gone and they draft Peter Warrick II and their defense still sucks ass

I'm still hoping Raji or Andre Smith....But with Mangina taking Crabtree off his board, we are going to have a few good choices

Yeah, I'm thinking KC trades down (Pioli did that a lot in New England) to someone who wants to draft Sanchez (Denver?), and then drafts Tyson Jackson.

Bills Interested in OT?
by Adam Caplan of ScoutNFLNetwork.com, April 23, 2009 at 8:02pm ET

Rumors this time of year are pretty much dime a dozen, but we're hearing one that makes a lot of sense. A league source told Scout.com that the Buffalo Bills are considering trading up past No. 6 where the Cincinnati Bengals are selecting in order to pick University of Alabama OT Andre Smith.

It's been widely known in league circles for some time that the Bengals have a strong interest in Smith and both teams are in need of a young offensive tackle.

Buffalo is in need of a left tackle after trading Jason Peters to the Philadelphia Eagles last week. Currently, career backup OT Kirk Chambers is Buffalo's projected replacement for Peters.

Cincinnati starting LT Levi Jones is still under contract through 2012, but there's currently an opening at right tackle. Some scouts believe Smith is better off playing the right side instead of the left. However, Jones could be moved to the right side if the team selects Smith.

Smith officially changed representation on Tuesday from agent Alvin Keels and chose Priority Sports. Veteran agent Rick Smith will now represent the offensive lineman.

Total smokescreen. Cleveland takes Crabtree...

I agree Robert, unless Curry slips to 5.

I think he could play any of the 4 LB positions in a 3-4 very well, and will be a big consideration if he slides a few spots.

The Chiefs and Falcons may not be done dealing... Apparently, that Glenn Dorsey to Atlanta for pick #24 rumor may be picking up some serious steam...

Makes a ton of sense for KC... They can take Raji to play the point at 3, and then come back with a guy like Matthews at 24... The Falcons get the penetrating DT they coveted last year who fits much better with what they do scheme wise..

Jackson's true value is as a 5-technique DE in a 30-front. He would play well in a 4-3, but not exceptionally, and most likely not worth a top-10 pick. Good, if not great player in college, who projects amongst NFL scout circles as a better pro prospect than college. The problem for the Raiders is, he just doesn't fit what they do well enough to warrant the pick.

But a 3-4 team is going to be VERY happy with him.

#24 for Dorsey seems a little low. He was picked at #5 last year. Atlanta would have to throw something else into the mix IMHO.

I keep saying it wouldn't surprise me to see KC pick up Raji. KC needs a true NT and Dorsey isn't it. He really isn't a 3-4 DE either tho, so trading him makes sense...

Peter King said he heard Cable was on the phone wqith macclin last night. He hears it is down to H-Bey and maclin.
