i guess we could only go so long without being the laughing stock.

Hate it

My Viking friends have been calling, "Enjoy Troy Williamson"

I waited all day for this? Sucks, sucks, sucks.

Davis is a complete idiot. It this doesn't confirm it for you, you are an idiot also.

I just yanked the phone cord out of the wall. People calling me from San Francisco...fuck them.

This is our pick? Good god! The last 6 years we've gotten our asses handed to us on both our lines and we pick a freaking speedster WR. Garbage pick. This is why we pick in the top ten.

Amen...and this is why we will continue to do so until the day Al Davis steps down. We certainly deserve the tag of "the worst run franchise in sports".

You know the worst thing about this is we could've gotten this bozo in round 2.

Yeah.Just to add insult to injury Crabtree goes to our friends across the bay.

:shakehead:

SD just drafted a stud DE/OLB to put JR on his back all Opening Night on Monday Night Football, before Bey can get open downfield. Miller's never going out on another pattern. I can't tell you how completely dissappointed I am. A great offseason down the tubes.

Rey M, Matthews Jr were better choices.

SD whiffed big time.

Hope so. Mayock likee him. Mayock also liked R. Ayers at DE for Denver. Denver's offense is also going to be tough. They have WRs and RBs and a good line. Orton just has to manage the game, provided Denver can upgrade the defense. I suspect that they'll be picking defense the rest of the draft.

Wah wah wah.

Props to 007 and Sleet for adding something to discussion other than bitching. I stayed away from the board for a while because I just didn't want to see all the crying. Catch y'all some time later.

outside of Moreno, i dont really like any of Denver's picks

Ayers is too big to play OLB and too small to play end in the 3-4, Alphonso Smith is going to get eaten up and boxed out by the big WRs in the AFC West, and McBeth and Quinn seem like they wont even have a chance to contribute until a few years down the road

that said, i think Moreno is the next LT and it is going to suck playing him 2 times a year for the next 6 or 7

Raiders Didn’t Reach For Mitchell?
Posted by Mike Florio on April 26, 2009, 10:45 a.m. EDT

The biggest shock of the first day of the draft, according to the folks who supposedly know the draft inside and out, is that the Raiders selected Ohio University safety Mike Mitchell with the 47th overall pick.

But, as it turns out, Mitchell wouldn’t have otherwise plunged to round seven.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the Bears had planned to take Mitchell two picks later.

Mitchell said Saturday that, at the start of round two, the Bears claimed they’d be drafting him at No. 49.

“When [the Bears] did that, I was like, ‘I’m going to be a Chicago Bear,’ ” Mitchell said. “That’s what I was thinking.”

And so, with Mitchell gone, the Bears traded out of the spot.

“Unfortunately the players we targeted at 49 did not fall to us and we weren’t in a position that we were able to move up,” G.M. Jerry Angelo said.

So take heart, Raiders fans. Your front office doesn’t consist of idiots.

Unless Angelo is an idiot, too.
