I've got the draftees added. UDFAs are so fluid at this point they won't get added till minicamp/raiders.com roster update.

You should adopt the 5-2-4 scheme like @Crow did. It's more realistic.

I'll likely shift us over to a 3-4 look. really just too early and theres nothing to "go" on other then projection at this point.

Short-term? We didn't do much to compete this year.
Newhouse hardest hit with the two rookie OTs.

DT and LB are shit.
Red has cut some players quickly, but Ball, Heeney, James and Ward are getting another chance to contribute in a meaningful way. Sure hope Pagano can be the difference.

Red's good at the scrap heap guys too.

Riley, Amerson...

Simplifies the 3-4 and 4-3 Under stuff. Both feature your 3 interior DLs, two outside passrushers, and two traditional LBs.

Edge = 34 OLB, or 43 Under LEO & OTTO/Sam. All essentially the same shit.

DL = 34 DEs, or the UT and closed end of the 43 Under. All are basically just DTs with fancy names.

NT = NT

LB = 34 ILB, or 43 Under WILL & MIKE. Off-the-ball LBs.

At this stage, if you play D and are still on the market or get cut, can't be a better place to play to compete for time and playoffs.

4-3 would be the best look with this shit sandwich. Heres how I would run them out:

DE- Mack - Autry - Calhoun
DE- Irvin - Autry - Cowser (Aldon Smith moves Irving to SLB)
3DT - MEJ - Lantham - Ward
DT - Ellis - Vanderdoes - Hester
WLB - Jenkins - James - Heeney
ILB - Ball - Lee
SLB - Heeney/James
CB Smith
CB Amerson
CB Conley
CB Carrie / Hamilton
FS Nelson / Obi / McGill
SS Kujo / Luani

re-sign Perry Riley, Ray M, Hodges, Dre Levy etc
sign Dumerville or some more edge pass rush
Sign Leon Hall to be our Cb #5
* or trade for Kendricks or Richardson

So you'd rather start 3 of those guys than just two, eh?

You really do smoke a lotta chiba.

Im signing Perry Riley and putting him at ILB. Jenkins at the other spot.

Then I'm trying to hide Ball, Heeney, James and them at the remaining spot.

Ideally Aldon Smith plays DE and Irving goes back to LB. Then you have Riley, Irvin, Jenkins etc

Id also sign Ray Malaluga or another vet. I would never have rolled with this group. But Id rather have a strong DL with Mack, Irvin, MEJ +1 than start Lantham/Vanderdoes I suppose. Pick your poison there.

In your scenario the middle of our D is: Lantham, Eddie V, Jenkins & Lee (also MEJ) that would get destroyed equally IMO haha

You have Justin Ellis 1st string. Your argument is invalid.

I think ideally we start mej, vandy, and ward(new and improved) as our 30 front. Irvin and Mack on the edge (with Aldon if he ever gets back). Jenkins and lee in reserve. Hope levy or Riley gets in. Maybe both.

Our nickel packages are a lot stronger then our base.
