Thank you! This is all I was sayin when Hayden was called out last night. We got Barnes at RT and he missed 1/2 of last year, and Briesel who is complete ass on the OL and what does Redbone do? Signs a CB?

Really? I've been using vacation to make sure I won't sit around on the boob tube or computer in retirement. I find I get up at 8:00 or 8:30. Start the laundry, clean up the kitchen then head out to work around the property or on my bikes around 11:00. It's awesome. The ol' lady keeps working and I play house mouse. No issues here.

I never KNOCKED him for his size.

I merely twice made a passing comment about his size - and noted that he was also coming from a small conference, wondering how he'll match up against bigger NFL competition.

Some people in here just want to FREAK OUT at the slightest hint of negativity.


If 13 of the 14 Hall of Fame corners were small, the rational conclusion would be that being small is an advantage for a corner, right?

But the reality is that the OPPOSITE is true.

Most of the corners in the Hall are on the larger side - and 13 of 14 are bigger than Hayden -- and most of them by 2+ inches.

Having that size HELPS a corner.


That's the simple point.

Nothing to get freaked about.

4/24/13: Many believe that Hayden is a top-60 selection despite his going under the radar for so long. Some consider Hayden to have first-round talent, but medical concerns will probably push him lower. WalterFootball.com reached out to some scouts who said that Hayden graded out as a second-round pick.

The core medical issue stems from a hit Hayden took in practice late this season. The impact tore his inferior vena cava, a critical vein that returns blood to the heart; he almost died. Hayden missed the final three games of 2012, but prior to that, he was having a great year.

The senior totaled 61 tackles with eight passes broken up, one forced fumble and four interceptions in 2012. It was second straight good season. He recorded 66 tackles, two interceptions, 11 passes broken up and five forced fumbles in 2011. Hayden (5-11, 191) has good size and is fast. He could go early in the second round.
