Yeah he's gonna bring Trey Lance the RS sophomore with 14 starts under his belt and get to work building a long term winner in year 4.

This is the Derek Carr/Jon Gruden long term rodeo and we are just here to hope it works out once in the next half dozen years.

I think the COVID situation might keep him in play around where we pick. Not enough tape for GMs to tell whether he’s Allen or Jordan Love.
 
Has Gruden ever drafted a QB? Inside of day one or two?

I mean Simms and Gradkowski each got a kick at the can.

I really want a new QB too but I would be looking at the round 3-7 pet project developmental guys.

I'd flip Carr for Haskins right now only because it would mean QB is in play for the draft.

Didn’t he draft Tui? Honestly I don’t even want to talk about college QBs at this point because I don’t think it’s an option. I don’t think we’ll even be in striking distance for one of the top 3 guys unless injuries/COVID hits us hard to go along with 1) Gruden will not give up on Carr and 2) Don't think Gruyock would give up the farm to trade up for one.

Yeah I could see 2 years. Thats my actual prediction.

Don't take my take as not wanting a QB haha. I would trade every player we have on our roster and a few first rounders to get a real QB who is easy to cheer for.

I just don't see it happening with the current pair of guys being pretty big fans of eachother.

I never really thought about him retiring early, but it actually wouldn’t shock me either. This year is important. If they finish with five or six wins (or gulp ..., even worse), I don’t see how they can’t make a change. Yes the defense is a running joke, but Jon’s offense blows too.
