***Chargers Game Thread***

we are the game of the week again, airing tonight on nfl network

X

Thank you X! I just re-watched the game while I did my work out, made it a lot more fun! Some observations:

Fucking refs need to pull their head out, our guys were mugged on almost every big play in the first half by the Chargers.
Crabtree is one bad ass dude, that sideline grab and TD on 4-2 were clutch as fuck.
Amari absolutely got robbed out of a TD. He got two feet back in bounds before catching the ball-- oh and by that way that was just enough to fuck over my FF team too... hey NFL Refs :fu:

Bosa is going to be a fucking pain in the ass, I was totally wrong about him. But it sure looked like our guys were blocking by the rules while the Chargers mugged and mauled us and got away with it...

Can't rely on getting that many turnovers every week... D will have to play better. If I'm Del Rio I'm sending tape of our guys getting mugged every week to the NFL though.

Meanwhile, at NFL offices.

Was Riley even with a team when the Raiders signed him? Was he sitting at home for the first few weeks of the season? If so, unreal that he's had an impact.

Linebacker: Perry Riley, Oakland Raiders, 89.2

Perry Riley might win the award for most unlikely appearance on the team of the week. With three consecutive seasons of poor grades, Riley’s first action of the season for the Raiders was a dominant display. He had two hurries on the blitz, and countered giving up some catches in coverage by forcing a fumble from Antonio Gates.

Wonder if Riley, Smith, and/or James gets the nod this week.

Riley plays like that Smith doesn't need to see the field. The passes Riley did give up at least he I was right there to make the tackle. And he was much better vs the run. Smith loses his man in coverage 2-3 times a game. And has 2-3 big time missed tackles a game. Smith can stay on the bench.

About the Bosa thing. Agree 100%. Idk why, because I saw him dominate so much in college....I just didn't think he would quite be as effective. Big Ten pass rushers have been hard to read for me. Some that have been beasts in college were average in the NFL, and some that were ok have blown up. Bosa looks legit. Sans camp, he's come in and dominated in two games in five days. He gave Penn fits all game long.
