Championship Sunday

I wouldn't count the Eagles out at the SB.

That defense is pretty good.

Pats are beatable. Falcons showed that last year. Jags showed that this year. Hawks showed that. Broncos, Ravens, Giants.....

People just fuck up and beat themselves and the Pats don't. That's it. It's not a fucking conspiracy.

I would. Their defensive backfield isn't very good. Their defensive line is very good and the problems they gave the Vikings was predictable, but they won't have the same success with New England. Belichick will have a pl.

Get ready for those little guys to be catching a lot of short passes from Brady in 2 weeks.

When the penalties are 9/1 against you and you have referees smiling in TD celebrations and congratulating Tom after the game, there seems to be some sort of conspiracy.

Malcom Jenkins & McLeod are two of the best safeties in the league. They have questionable corners maybe. PRobinson, Sydney Jones, Rasual Douglas, J.Mills, R.Darby... not a terrible group tho, just very green.

The LB core has had some injuries and they will need to cover up the ILB spot. But that DL and pass rush blitz makes everything look good. They also play good run defense.

Im not saying the Patriots won't win tho. Just that the Eagles have a deeper better roster than people think. If Wentz was playing the Patriots would lose this shit. I expect it to be a close game if Foles can play solid.

It's not an either or thing.Like yesterday.Think of the Schottenheimer factor.NE keeps playing just biding their time. But making few if any mistakes. Then that one lucky drive.New England walks down the field.Scores.Then JAX remembers who they're playing.Gets inside there own head and shits themselves. But yeah 2 or 3 PI calls and essentially a free TD.And they're back in business.

But yeah.Just a coincidence.

Those PIs were legit. Jax fucked the poodle.
That PI wasn't legit, I can't agree with that. However that's not why they lost.

:55 seconds left in half and you kneel...

3rd and 18 with 11 minutes to go and you let them convert... They go on to score a TD

I also think they should have milked the clock more. All those hikes with 9-10-11 seconds left add up.

To me that conversion on 3rd and 18 was the beginning of the end though.

If Jax had a good QB they win that game for sure. Good, not great. Just good.

Have you seen Bortles? We have given his bad picks a name. I just don't get the criticism. They did everything they could but just got beat, and it's not like they're the first ones it's happened to. Belichick has done it to better teams with way better QBs.

All of that shit that was working early, he shut that shit down pretty much after their second drive.

I've kept saying, you need 2 or 3 game plans to counter the counters that you know is coming from Belichick in the middle of the game and especially on defense for Brady because they're both going to figure it out. Only person I saw do it for a whole game was Rex. He never figured that shit out the whole way, and even think, he had Gronk and the murderer on that team at the same time. Every time he'd try one of those little passes, he'd hesitate for a minute because he wasn't sure. Every time they'd try to get deep, he'd hesitate for a minute because he wasn't sure what he was seeing. That's what you have to throw at him.

If you try to play it straight up, your defensive line better be a beast for 60 minutes, and your defensive backfield better hold up because they're going to figure it out. Seen that movie, over and over and over and over again starting with our playoff tuck fucking when Brady was just a game manager. We should have killed them but Belichick had Al's defense figured out by halftime and confused Gruden's offense the whole day.

After that 3rd and 18, I was just like how are they going to win now. I had a glimmer of hope when they got that turnover, but they didn't do anything with it. All they needed was a couple of FG drives, but they didn't do shit.

I thought they were setting up a keeper with all those Fournete plunges into the middle of the line and it never happened. It looked like it was there a few times where Bortles could have pulled the ball and looped around the end.

Bad move by Hackett not making the Patriots account for Bortles and play 11 on 11 football there.

For all the shit Bortles gets, he played a good game against NE. A couple of drops and a few bad throws. Even made a few difficult throws too.

Jags lost the game in the first half when Bortles took a delay of game coming off a timeout. Jags could have potentially been up 21-3, instead Brady drove the team down to make it 14-10. That's inexcusable.

I agree with this, he should have used his legs a bit more. NE plays such fundamentally sound football though, their were not many chances to run.

So he's worth the $18MM extension? I suppose so if Carr was worth the $125MM after one super season.

That hurt no doubt, but the same thing can be said about getting off the field on 3rd 18. Could have taken another 3 minutes or so off the clock.

Bortles played well enough to win the game with his defense. However they played it too safe. If you want to beat NE you have to be aggressive when you have a lead. The Eagles never took the foot off the gas and played to win. Play not to loose against NE and you will losse.
