I can definitely see the Bears trading up to #8 for Trey Lance. But that would mean the Panthers would trade away from Trey Lance which would infuriate half their fans.

I think Lance will suck but that's beside the point.

The point being the Bears GM is a dead man walking. He has nothing to lose taking Lance at #8 and he has to do something.
