Brady wanted to play for the Raiders? Uh, no…

As it turns out, via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, most of the hype around the Raiders signing Brady seems to have come from Brady’s representatives.

“Around the time of the Super Bowl, Brady want[ed] the Raiders, but like they’re probably not going to make a big run at him. And then everybody was reporting ‘Raiders’ and I’m like ‘maybe I’m crazy,'”

Asked if Brady was really making a push to join the Raiders, Rapoport was clear that it was Brady who identified the Raiders as a team he wanted to play for.

“Yes. Oh yeah,” Rapoport said. “I’m not saying [he liked them] more than the Bucs, but I’m like, yeah, that was a team that he definitely identified was like, okay, I like this. I could win here. And the 49ers, too. I mean, he would’ve loved [San Francisco], but they get Jimmy Garoppolo.”

God damn it...

Dude would've retired halfway through the year with how bad our defense is.

Houston would be smart not to trade Watson until prior to next year’s draft after legal problems and discipline. Bank the cap space and a high pick next year. And fuck Denver.

Idiots...Brady could have changed the culture of the current Raiders more than anyone.smh...Gruden will continue to stick with the Turd that will undoubtably take us nowhere remotely close to winning anything:raiderbag:

He wouldn't have been able to change that stank ass defense. #Undoubtedly

ESPN suggesting KJ Wright as a possible signing for the Raiders. Would not hate.
Nor would I but I’d be surprised if he came here to back up Kwiatkoski, but I’d love it if he did. Wonder if he would even be an option at SAM or if Kwiatkoski could play SAM if Wright was signed. Hmmm.

If he can play, he will be on the field.

He was a WILL in Seattle no?

Well, shit, I was looking at this size:

Height: 6 ft 4 in (1.93 m)
Weight: 246 lb (112 kg)

He makes our LB, save Kwiatkoski, seem small. If we signed him, it would be a further indictment of Littleton. Wonder if we could (and if so, would) trade Littleton for a Day 3 pick by eating $3.168M in dead cap each of the next 4 years? A 3-year, $22M contract for a former Pro Bowl coverage LB is not horrible, especially when the new team could cut him without issue. How in the fuck do we still owe Littleton $13.8M more in guaranteed money?

Looks like he played outside last year so there’s that.

As for Littleton, it appears Jon hated Reggie’s good cap management more than his bad drafting.
