2019 Offseason Roster/Depth Chart and organizational moves

So Niners play the Seattle system? It’s not like a normal 4-3 Ford will line up wide no?

Yeah but it’s also the same system Clark just came from. It’s not like Clark is that much bigger than Ford.

Agreed. Based on what Ford will be doing in SF, it’s seems circular.

Clark is a very good run defender for the 4-3. Houston and Dee not so much. Gonna be scary having to block Clark & Jones. Two mean mofos. I won't be shocked when 1 of those 4 picks is on a starting OG who can slide out to OT in a pinch. Make that OL a strength with depth if you're rolling with Carr.

I don’t watch Seattle enough to know if Clark is a good run defender. And I don’t chart plays.

PFF does. And by some accounts, Clark had a career year and was the best player on Sea’s D. Funny how that works in a contract year.

Nevertheless, Sea let him go and PFF graded him, overall, below both Flowers and Ford as a player last year. Certainly was not his pass rushing ability that garnered the lower grade.

I’m hoping Clark has peaked as a player. But playing with Jones could be a big problem. That is why I want Cody Ford. He’s got the size to neutralize Jones. We don’t need another SPARQ OL (Lindstrom), who Jones might bully, the way Clark bullied Miller last year.

They will just line up Clark on Miller’s side, problem solved. Hope that weight room pays dividends for Miller!

oh boy! Hope he can do better than this.

We're gonna draft Jawaan Taylor at 4 and kick Miller in to guard, I can feel it

It would explain the silence about what position Trent Brown is playing. The dude is an obvious fit. Im just not sure Kolton Miller is worth anything at guard. If he is up to 330 and working on getting stronger thats a good sign.

I much rather see us land Cody Ford later who can play OG and then move to OT if Miller doesn't improve.

Later when? I have Ford as a mid 1st round guy

Im thinking Taylor, Dillard & Williams all go before Ford. Maybe he slips to #24. Im guessing we would need someone to take an interior OL for that to happen.
