A healthy Jordan Matthews would seem to fit what Gruden likes in a WR
Good thing about Matthews might be his exposure to Chip Kellys offense. I think we're going to see lots of no huddle with Gruden so he'll have some experience in that.

Agreed. No wonder DBs are squatting on the short routes

SPEED WHERE YOU NEED IT

Which Team Has the Fastest Receiving Corps?
The former Raiders owner Al Davis was obsessed with speed. Davis made it his mission to draft or trade for as many fast wide receivers as possible, including Cliff Branch; Raghib Ismail, who was known as Rocket; Willie Gault; Darrius Heyward-Bey; and Jacoby Ford.

Davis, who died in 2011, would probably hate the current version of the Raiders. As a receiving group, the Raiders are the second slowest in the N.F.L., according to Sportradar. If we look at every pass play in the N.F.L. this season through Week 16, and then average the top speed of each receiver across all of those plays, the Rams have the fastest group with an average of 13.32 m.p.h. The Raiders, at 11.96, are slower than every other team except for the Packers, who are more than a mile and a half per hour slower than the Rams at 11.74 m.p.h.

I believe in speed at WR. #pulltheposts

Why I believe this is a dumb stat is that Oakland's WR corps could hardly be running full speed because they didn't know where they were going.

Holten and Cooper blow by corners and beat deep zones. Crabtree is the only one without good speed, but his route running gets him separation. Who catches Robert' from behind? And that Patterson guy is really fast.

Holy shit! Did I see Tony Bergstrom on that list?

I can't see Demarcus Lawrence escaping cowboy country - but he'd be a VERY solid get.

I've said my peace about Richardson/Poe - Logan and Lotulele would be solid gets too.

I want Bowman back and he seems like he'd be a "gruden guy".

there are a number of LBs on that list who are better "gruden/guenther" fits then guys we currently roster. But also who cost coin that we need for mack.

same with safeties - if we don't expect Obi to be ready and/or want to push KuJo a bit - a number of those guys would improve our D

Butler/Johnson are the "stars" of that CB group - but there are about 12 guys who would replace Smith/Carrie and push Amerson/Conley to start.

Same with WRs and Crab - I think Watkins luster has worn off a bit- his Buff runningmate Woods showed more in LA. If we can snag one of the top 5-6 guys to replace crab - we good

I'm a big fan of Tyler Eiferts game. If he can stay healthy hes a top 5 TE. I'd ditch Cook in a heartbeat for Eif.
