We def need to upgrade ILB. We have had shit the last 10 years at MLB. I dont love Riley like that, he is the only guy that is an actual ILB on the roster. I was just really done watching undersized bodies in there. Heeney is a chase and attack LB. Not a MLB. Ball is a coverage LB. James is a ST player who is way too small to play ILB. Riley was the only dude who had actually played there. Im comparing him to absolute garbage I know, but since he will be cheap, we should upgrade him from the inside not just replace him IMO. The weak MLB class scares the shit out of me. We may need to reach in round 1.

I think the true addiction by subtraction is M.Smith. He was terrible. Im not defending his ass one bit and never have. He's not starting material. So thats likely another reason I'm into keeping Riley. We got replace Smith too. Were gonna see a lot of new faces at LB next season, especially running more 3-4.

Have him whip Jihad Ward across the nuts with a switch every time he looks like a clueless scrub. That alone would be worth his salary.

Not many good options to upgrade in FA. And Red likely won't spend a 1st or 2nd round pick on an ILB. So, we're pretty much fucked.

From BookMaker.eu: Adrian Peterson's team in Week 1 of 2017 regular season

Green Bay Packers +200
Minnesota Vikings +250
New England Patriots +1000
Oakland Raiders +1000
New York Giants +1500
Dallas Cowboys +2500
Field +120

With the 24th pick in NFL 2017 draft, the Oakland Raiders select Mrs. Doubtfire to nanny Adrian's kids

Well, the annual "cute" pick is guaranteed the first 3 rounds so there's hope... :chuckle:

Sure seems that way- Considering a MLB is pretty much the QB of a defense- Forget all about Mr Heeny and whatever shit anybody thinks he brings to the table- That dude is fuckin ass- Riley is "okay" I guess.. but I aint happy with just "okay".. okay? We need a young drafted MLB that can grow with Mack - We thought we had that with whatisface from Alabama but we all know shit took a turn for the worse when dude was put in handcuffs by Gary fuckin Coleman- It's just time- It's time to finally get a solid MLB for this defense or if not. we'll continue to see teams run through us like shit through a goose-

And we can fill that MLB spot in the 2nd round with Davis or McMillan

Heeney is a scrub, nothing to be confused about.

I've noticed a slight trend with all of Reggie's LB whiffs since he's been our GM.

All the LB's move around pretty well but were not the powerful block shedding types.

Sio Moore was really the only one who could shuck a guy off and make a play. He had his own set of problems for sure.

Guys like Burris, Heeney, Ball, Valles, Cory James etc are all the same type of guy.

I really would LOVE for Reggie to try and find some LB's that can get in the mud and take on some blockers. Heeney and James running around everyone trying to make plays 5 yards down field got old fast.

Whole lotta Malcolm Smiths on this team. Shit ain't no way to build a defense.

Think McMillan can fill that role. 2nd maybe 3rd round guy.

I'm also watching some Kendall Beckwith tonight.

Injured and a little slower, but he's willing to get dirty and fight, LOL.

My favorite LB's in this draft seem to be position conversions.

I watched some Tyus Bowser today, Anzalone from Florida actually looks like a good ILB prospect. Dude has never been healthy though.

Anzalone looks like a good one, too bad he's hurt all the time. 2 straight years with shoulder injuries and then broke his arm this past year. Kids hardly played but was looking good earlier this year.

They were talking Anzalone up on Sirius XM radio but also mentioned his injury history

There may be something to this as the fatties up front are supposed to gobble up players so the linebackers can clean up what's left.

3. Gerald Hodges, San Francisco 49ers (82.4)

4. Perry Riley, Oakland Raiders (84.8)

5. Kevin Minter, Arizona Cardinals (81.0)

Not sure what is so confusing to you guys? One rated higher than the other two. He actually played here in this shitty defense too. There are the numbers. I dont see how replacing him someone from a different defense, who graded lower is and upgrade...

You explain that. I've showed where Ive gotten that opinion from. I noticed the D playing better when he entered the starting line-up. PFF backs that up. Those other guys dont represent any upgrade to me. The draft would be a place to try, not FA. Hightower isnt coming here.
