Maybe he took it thinking they were picking high enough to get JJ? I don't think so at all but he's kinda crazy so you never know.

Take away the projected rookies and maybe Minshew is #31 and Stidham is #32.

Or keep the rookies in there without a team and Minshew and Stidham are #32 and #33. Does it really matter at that point?

Minshew is probably closer to 22 than 32 if we are talking about who started last year.

Stafford was always solid though. Just never seemed to have the total team to make it happen.

Terrell Davis in the HOF. Hell, Lynn Swann bitch ass in the HOF. That shit jumped the shark a long time ago. Ice and Phillip getting in aren't making it any worse. If Warner is in, and he was definitely the man, he doesn't belong any more than those dudes with that doughnut in the middle of his career. Atlanta never had back to back winning seasons until Ice, and Phillip played for the Clippers of the NFL, so you kind of grade his shit on a curve.

The Cowboys at least got another guy to see if they want to turn in the ticket after this year though. My guess is it's going to end up being no, but at least they're checking before they extend him again.

Winning a ring changed a lot for him narrative wise though. You might see some revisionist history if one of the above ended up winning one too IMO. There was a point when he and Carr were considered pretty comparable.

If Carr stumbles into a SB win, he's definitely in the same conversation as Stafford. There are plenty of people around the league who believe the Raiders did him wrong and he's just 1 stable franchise away from perennial contention.

I think that's more fan talk. Coaches and personnel people blow a wad when they talk about Stafford. I remember that Bruce Arians press conference when the Bucs played the Lions his last year. Dude was like he was going to have an orgasm on the podium and might have traded Brady straight up for him if he could get away with it.

Warner has a ring ad SB MVP. Won one and got there 2 more times. Those teams got there on his arm. He had a period of greatness. He belongs. Ice and Rivers can fuck off to the hall of pretty good.

I like Rivers in that you love to hate him sort of way. I love him playing on a torn ACL while that bitch LT sat on the bench with a hangnail. That said, it’s pretty crazy he played that long and never had more than two winning seasons in a row with all that talent SD had over the years.
