Hmmm
Is it really tampering to overpay a QB turning 36 and coming off an Achilles injury? Sounds like Alt did Minn a favor, no?
Cousins is a top-ten QB.

With one more playoff win than Carr (1-3 + 1 loss as backup).Cousins is a top-ten QB.
Oh … so cool. With one more playoff win than Carr (1-3 + 1 loss as backup).
Maybe he took it thinking they were picking high enough to get JJ? I don't think so at all but he's kinda crazy so you never know.Chargers are a mess, their roster is a mess and Herbert's making half a billion... if I believed he had a Dak Prescott win ceiling I'd do the trade to rebuild the roster... not unlike JJ traded his elite player to the vikings 35 years ago to do the same.
But I have to agree it's assumed he took the job because he believed in Herbert... right?
What else would draw him to the job, other than him they got nothing?
Minshew is probably closer to 22 than 32 if we are talking about who started last year.Where's that graphic ranking the projected starting QBs in the NFL? The one with Minshew at #32 and the projected rookies.
Take away the projected rookies and maybe Minshew is #31 and Stidham is #32.
Or keep the rookies in there without a team and Minshew and Stidham are #32 and #33. Does it really matter at that point?
They're all shit.
Just like the QBs in the #22-#13 range are the same story.
Neither should though.Ice will get in, both him and Phillip. Just won't be for a while.
Then Deion is right, there needs to be tiers in the HOF.Ice will get in, both him and Phillip. Just won't be for a while.
Stafford was always solid though. Just never seemed to have the total team to make it happen.Carr… Cousins… Dak… hundreds of millions of dollars when it’s all said and done just for the Hail Mary shot of pulling a Mathew Stafford.

If Carr stumbles into a SB win, he's definitely in the same conversation as Stafford. There are plenty of people around the league who believe the Raiders did him wrong and he's just 1 stable franchise away from perennial contention.Winning a ring changed a lot for him narrative wise though. You might see some revisionist history if one of the above ended up winning one too IMO. There was a point when he and Carr were considered pretty comparable.

Yea, but maybe those folks are idiots? If Carr stumbles into a SB win, he's definitely in the same conversation as Stafford. There are plenty of people around the league who believe the Raiders did him wrong and he's just 1 stable franchise away from perennial contention.

Warner has a ring ad SB MVP. Won one and got there 2 more times. Those teams got there on his arm. He had a period of greatness. He belongs. Ice and Rivers can fuck off to the hall of pretty good.
