Simpson has to learn how to pass protect in the NFL. But that compact size and raw power is solid. Coach ‘em up Cable!

I really think Mayock and Gruden know what they’re doing. As Curly says, it would have been nice to trade back and get Arnette...but you know

Just a few restructuring moves and add a CB ( Clowney or YN not coming here) and here we go.

Agreed on the grade.....

I give it an F..... wasn’t even close.....

.....some random observations (I hate being so negative..... but let’s be real for a minute):

- We didn’t draft a QB..... until we have a franchise QB under center, we should spend at least 1 pick on a QB every f’n draft..... Isn’t the goal to win championships? Not sure what our goal is right now.....

- Are we really any better after this draft? Did we close the gap..... or did the gap get wider? I think it got wider..... I see one legit starter, Ruggs..... (who in a sense replaces Cooper in a lateral move)..... but I can’t help but think he’ll get ignored like every other WR.....

- The Arnette pick bothers me for the exact same reason the Abrams pick bothered me last year.... Both these guys are way too physical for the modern NFL..... Is anybody really surprised Abrams got injured so quickly? If either can stay healthy, I’ll be really surprised if they aren’t penalty machines..... The game is getting away from players like them..... unfortunately.....

- I see both Bowden and Muse as core special team guys.... A 7-9 team drafting multiple core special team guys on day 2..... Wow.... The only explanation is perhaps both Gruden and Mayock think this team is much closer that the rest of us do.... Gru might be over-estimating his coaching ability......

- I felt ok with the Mack trade after last year’s draft.... specifically Jacobs...... I think this weekend may have undone all the benefit of that trade.......

- Put me in the camp that last year’s draft was as much of an anomaly as McKenzie’s one good draft.... this weekend felt nothing like last year’s draft.....

- I used to say..... “I hope all these reaches prove me wrong”....... but after how many decades of the same shit..... who are we kidding. We just suck on draft day......

Apparently Dan didn’t get the message that Mayock had a bottom five draft. Still don’t get why KC is getting so much love (Donks’ drafts always get graded highly), but I like his ranking of the other teams (or HC) I hate:

Ruggs: A-
I'm a fan.

Arnette: D
Dubious character off the field. Potential flag magnet on the field. Grade takes a hit due to Mayock's admission he could have traded down.

Bowden: D
Doesn't have a pro position. High drop %. Alarmingly fumble prone. Leaves us needing a RB just as badly as we did before the draft. Oh, and dude has a fucking face tattoo like a retard.

Edwards: C
Meniscus tear in November. Broken foot in February. Concussion & sports hernia surgery in 2017. Contested catch guy more than a creator of separation, and he will drop a few passes; i.e.: Dereka's not going to throw him the ball.

Muse: C-
Grade helped by virtue of the fact they did actually trade down first.

Simpson: B
Should be a starter in 2021.

Robertson: A+
Bawl. Hawk.

I get the vibe these draft grades right afterwards seem to make you feel raw.

Its ok if dudes didn’t like guys we picked. Usually we pick shitty players and they end up correct.

Should we all edit our picks to A+ for you?

Mayock wanted him at 19. I have absolutely no cares where you had him. For fucks sakes get over yourself.
