Make one, but one you at least kind of believe.

Johnnie Lee Higgins will be the most productive Raider rookie this year. 40 some catches, nearly 800 yards, around seven or eight TDs, and a couple punt return touchdowns as well.

Heard it here first.

I know I'm going out on a limb here...

Tyler Brayton gets at least 1 sack this year.

Wild:

In the "Eat your words bitches because I'm actually good" Nnamdi Asomugha category, Jake Grove steps up and becomes the player we thought we were getting when we drafted him...

Outlandish:

Scheig actually sees who he's tackling once or twice this season...

I know I'm going out on a limb here...

If you're on a limb, what am I on? (hold the crack jokes).

Robert Gallery wins the LT spot and becomes dominant by year's end. Comeback player of the year consideration. :)

Wild:

Stanford Routt becomes a stellar Nickel CB in the league, and gives us the top passing defence by far.

Not so wild:

Kevin Huntley is starting opposite Derrick Burgess by week 3.

Lastly: Robert Gallery's suprise development at LT makes Barry Sims expendable, and he shows the talent we've known he's had for years. (More a hope on that one)

Micheal Bush takes over in week 7 and has around 900 Yards rushing.

Between them, Quentin Moses and Kevin Huntley get 10 sacks.:D

Michael Huff gets 4 INTs.

Ron Curry leads the team in receptions. Not that wild? True, but the guy 2nd on the team in catches? Dominic Rhodes.

Zach Miller tops out at about 35 catches, but has 6 TDs.

Darnell Bing barely sees the field again, outside of special teams. However, he looks good again in the preseason, leaving Raider fans to wonder how Ryan could let this future Hall of Famer rot on the bench.

Kirk Morrison makes the pro-bowl at MLB

Oakland wins its first AFC west game in too long.

Huff starts flashing some Ed Reed type plays and becomes a threat back there.

Justin Griffith makes the pro-bowl at FB by leading the Raiders in catches.

Wild:

Robert Gallery starts at left tackle, Barry Sims is cut and makes the 2nd team pro bowl.

Johnnie Morrant becomes the 3rd WR and has 48 catches, 670 yards and 6tds.

Johnnie Lee Higgins becomes the "Reggie Bush" of our team.

Coach Kiff Earns "Coach Of The Year" guiding the Raiders to a Wildcard spot going 9-7.

Not So Wild:

Thomas Howard leads the team in tackles and nabs 5 sacks.

Jerry Porter receives "comeback player of the year" and leads the team in yards with 1280yards.

Ronald Curry leads the team in TD's with 11 and just loses out to Porter on total yards with 1200....two WR's with 1000 plus yards.

My non-Raider prediction:

Taylor/Landry knock Moss out for the year on Sun 10/28/2007 in a cold weather game in Foxboro.

I'm feeling broken bone (chicken legs).

Quentin Moses has over 8 sacks coming in on passing downs.

Rob Ryan donates his hair to locks of love after the Raiders pull off a three game win streak.

LOL.

Jake Grove is about as nasty as a teddy bear or teletubby.

Best case scenario

As a Raider fan for 33 of my 43 years, I spend every summer trying to picture a "best case scenario" for my team. It's been hard the past fesummers * I expected last year's team to be the worst in the league. But here are some things that fans can legitimately hope for in 2007 (it seems to me):

1. The offensive line is respectable. Gallery plays credibly at right tackle (as he did his rookie year). Boothe or McQuistan develops into a long-term starter (both is too much to ask for). Sacks are cut by one-third.

2. Jerry Porter and Ronald Curry both have their best years.

3. Zach Miller starts and catches 40-50 balls.

4. Lamont Jordan and Dominic Rhodes combine for 1,400 yards (800 and 600).

5. Josh McCown starts for 10-14 games and plays well enough to get offers from three teams after the season.

6. JaMarcus Russell plays respectably, making few turnovers and looking unruffled, in limited play.

7. The overall run defense is noticeably better by Week 6.

8. Burgess earns a big contract extension.

9. Sands, Kelly or even Hawthorne establishes himself as a solid tackle next to Sapp.
10. Thomas Howard and Kirk Morrison progress as expected.

11. Nnamdi earns a big contract and Fabian Washington steps up.

12. Huff plays like the No. 7 pick.

13. Lechler stays Lechler and Janikowski has his best year.

14. The team wins two home games in the division.

15. The team plays well after losses.

16. The team goes 7-9 and, with a little luck, could have been 9-7.

17. Kiffin inspires more confidence at the end of the season than at the start.

18. I'm thinking playoff contention in 2008.

How about McCown keeps the job all season (that would mean we are winning!)

Stu Makes pro-bowl (and makes some of you eat crow)

Rhoades win the starter Job (once he comes back)

Burgess Leads the league in sacks again!

Mario Henderson surprises everyone in camp and is named the starting LT. Robert Gallery is traded for a 7th round pick and a case of anti-fungal creme.

Here is my list of predictions:

The Good:

1) The Raiders sign Tank Johnson, who DOESN'T get in trouble and teams with warren to have 15 sacks.

2)Cris Carr fends off the challengers, keeps the KR job and has 4 TD's on returns alone.

3)The Raiders offense buys what Kiff is sellin and the defense keeps killin, Raiders win 9 games.

4)Zach Miller is the most productive rookie on the roster, had 65 catches and 10 TD's, winning the NFL offensive rookie of the year award.

The Bad:

1) Jerry Porter starts strong, but buy seasons end, is spouting off about contract and touches. he ends the season with 50 catches, 4 TD's and is relegated to the bench and is gone by February.

2) rob Ryan's defense is ranked #2 in the league, overall, but becomes a head coach at seasons end.
