The 2024 thread was and still is a good one but I want to see some numbers on the 2025 guys. Unfortunately we didn't get our guy in 2024, maybe 2025 will be different.

Gun to your head and assuming we have the pick of the litter, who is the QB you want for the Raiders and why?

Personally, it's Cam Ward as 1A and Shedeur Sanders as 1B. I have them really fucking close and would love either one of them. If we had to trade up to get one of them I'd do that, too. Jalen Milroe is my 3rd option, but I'm not as in love with the dude and he has a lot of bust potential. What say you?

I picked Sanders but would be just as happy with Ward. I wanted a little of both last Saturday and was impressed.

Ward has a rocket. Does well throwing on the run while keeping his eyes downfield.

Whatever — we’ll fuck it up I’m sure.

I want Sanders, but i'll admit I've barely watched him. The concern with him is arm strength supposedly. Ward doesn't have that problem but tries to do much. I'd be happy with either. Down the list, I suppose you could justify taking Milroe but he'll have to sit for half a season or longer. The other two seem more ready to play right away.

Either is going to need good coaching for one facet of their game or the other. We have to get the coaching right or we're going to ruin these guys.

Sanders because I think he has a high floor and high enough ceiling with the right team around him.

I think he lands somewhere between Cousins and Burrow.

Not worried about the off the field stuff at this point.

I'd be perfectly fine with Ward though.

If Raiders select Milroe, then it's absolutely critical to have the right HC. Not a coach on a hot seat like AP will be for next season.

Continuity and stability will be critical to any rookie QB but for Milroe, they would be even more so. Dude will need some hand holding, patience and a solid game plan for his development.

Same.

Yet Ward's athleticism intrigues me, along with his mindset. Apparently, nothing rattles him.

Writer proposing Raiders aim for Arch Manning in 2026. What?

Take a QB this year, start him right away, if he sucks we might be in position to take Arch next year.

Trust me if we drafted Shadeur and he was bad enough to get us Arch Manning he would be traded faster than Josh Rosen to Miami when they stumbled into Kyler.

Draft.A.Quarterback.

It aint complicated.
