QB: Byron Leftwich/Joey Harrington/Aaron Brooks/Andrew Walter (not sure who i like best out of that group)
WR: Randy Moss
WR: Mike Williams/Charles Rogers(two underachievers with a huge upside) or John Madsen/Johnny Morant
WR: Ronald Curry
TE: Daniel Graham
LT: Robert Gallery
LG: Eric Steinbach
C: Jake Grove
RG/RT: Kevin Boothe/Paul McQuistan (not sure who would be better outside yet)
RB: Adrian Peterson

Id like another RT to throw into the mix but this offense... is reasonable for next year... Mike Williams or Rogers would come cheap and we could send Porter packing for either a player (decent RT?) or a pick. Graham would be a better fit if we go 3 wides as he is a better blocker then tony g who I'd much prefer if we stick to a 2 TE/I formation. With the addition of a new QB/New coordinator maybe we can light a fire under randy.

I'd be ecstatic. But I think we're setting ourselves up for disappointment if we're all thinking we'll be walking a way from free agency next year with 2 of the top 20 players available (Steinbach and Graham).

We nabbed Burgess and Jordan a few years ago. Both were top 20 FAs. Wouldnt be much different IMO.

I think there is going to be a general reluctance for FA's to sign on with Oakland. Especially the top tier of the bunch. Understandably seeing as the top FA's are going to get paid anyway why would they take a chance with the perceived mess in Oakland? I doubt I would unless the money was absolutely crazy. Just food for thought.

We'd still be pretty ugly at QB, unless the OL started blocking for AWAL.
Moss is still here, so I hate your WR corps.
Mike Williams' only future is as a back up TE.
Madsen at WR? Not nearly as great of a match up problem. Probably not good.

Hell, I'll play.

QB - Andrew Walter, Tim Rattay
RB - Kenny Irons/Michael Bush, Zack Crockett
FB - Rookie whose name I forget. :o

WR - Calvin Johnson
WR - Ronald Curry
TE - Daniel Graham

LT - Gallery
LG - Leonard Davis
C - Jake Grove
RG - Boothe/McQuistan/Sims
RT - McQuistan/Walker

As is typical, some uncertainty on the OL. I like my backfield and WRs, though.

Yeah.

Buzzkill.

Not the same at all. There wasn't that many teams pursuing Burgess and Jordan as starters. Burgess injury history scared off a lot of teams. And quite frankly who was going to outbid our $5.5 million a year for Jordan? I doubt anyone even came close.

I don't see the same situation with Steinbach and Graham. Both should have more teams pursuing them and next year teams have way more cap space then they did in 2005.

Ok here's my list.

WR Ron Curry
TE Zack Miller
LT Robert Gallery

QB Brooks, Walter
RB Adrian Peterson
FB Brian Leonard
WR Randy Moss
WR Ron Curry
TE Zack Miller
LT Robert Gallery
LG Vince Manuwai/Corey Hulsey

How about this...

Qb- Walter/ Brooks
Hb- M.Lynch, Fargas
FB- Brian Leonard
Wr- Happy Moss
Wr- Curry
TE- Eric Johnson or Graham
LT- Gallery
LG- Steinbach
C- Grove
RG- Boothe/MQuistan
RT- Long

Maybe trade down for Lynch, im guessing he wont go until pick 7 +. We should have a top 3(franchise QB land)so we can package that and a second +, for two first's and come out with 2 solid starters. M.Lynch drove the freaking injury cart around the field after a game winning TD, and he is a Raider fan! Plus he is faster than AP, and you guys know Al Davis. done and done. Jake Long would be a monster RT and like someone said, insurance for Gallery.

One of the strangest trades of the off-season was the Redskins spending what amounts to a high 3rd rounder for T.J. Duckett. They hardly used the guy this year and I believe he can void his contract after this season. How about replacing CroCKETT with DuCKETT.

For some reason I think Crockett will be back gain, just a hunch. What we need is a blocking full back

I heard the only reason they gave up a third is because dumb ass Dan Snyder didnt want rival philly to get duckett. They lost Portis and he still doesnt play. Betts and Cartwright are ahead of him on the pecking order. The skins dont care about the NFL draft. They just overpay people on their second contract and release them a year later. Good team chemistry huh. Thats why they are gonna give us a first for Moss. Then we can draft Calvin and LYnch!

The Jets matched the offer, actually. Jordan came here because he wanted to start. Just for the record.

Sounds like a downgrade to me. Maybe not, but why dump Crockett? Why not just add Duckett?

Lucky them. We pretty much screwed ourselves the day we handed him 15+ million in guaranteed money.

I'm probably alone in this but I hope the next head coach/coordinator kisses and makes up with Jerry Porter just so we don't have to eat the dead cap money and spend a high draft pick or FA loot on the position....

I'm going back and forth between Peterson, Lynch and Quinn... For now:

QB - Andrew Walter/Vince Evans
RB - Adrian Peterson(RD1)
FB - Justin Griffith (FA)

WR - Jerry Porter/John Madsen
WR - Ronald Curry/Johnnie Morant
TE - Daniel Graham (FA)
TE - Zach 'The Truth' Miller (RD2)

LT - Robert Gallery
LG - Kris Deilman (FA)
C - Sampson Satele (RD3)
RG - Kevin Boothe
RT - Jon Runyan (FA)/Paul McQuistan

Trust me Sampson Satele > Ryan Young

Looks good HB.

If we're in a money crunch I could see this being the year we slide down in the 1st to avoid that huge signing bonus and draft the local boy who they also think will sell more tickets in Lynch.
