There was all kinds of ridiculous bullshit being said leading up to that draft.
 
Will be cheaper than anyone comparable if Spytek decides to take the 5th year option.

And no matter what, he rag-dolled the damned Suit on draft night. Will always appreciate that.

I kept seeing his name on the different mock draft sites leading up to the draft. I never heard of him, let alone saw him play. So I went to 'you tube' to watch film of some of his games. The first thing I noticed was he was slow off the snap. He had zero quick twitch to him. I said to myself, "What the hell are these talking heads watching?
He didn't impress. He certainly was not a top 10 pick. Not even close.
A wasted pick.

Yep just like Damion Arnett, unexpected disappointing pick and when you watch the film it's beyond underwhelming to the point I'm sure they're not even trying to win.

That's when you know these people participate in group think. I had heard of him, but I didn't see a first round pick for the same reasons you're talking about. He wasn't quick twitch, and all his production was against shitty teams. When they played anybody good, he was invisible.
