Welcome to the team - Spencer Burford

New #Raiders OL Spencer Burford signed a one-year, $3.25 million contract that includes a guaranteed base salary of $1.24 million and a $1.5 million signing bonus, per Over The Cap. He has a per game roster bonus of $510k.
Guess the $510k in future bonus money is considered likely to be earned. Less than Capa but more than I hoped.

Having attended Georgetown when the Big East was equal to the ACC, I came name a few seven footers for whom that is not true.

Big East was the shit back in the day. Syracuse, Georgetown, St John's, Seton Hall, Nova. You remember Michael Graham? dude was a beast. Never really made it as a pro.

Burford’s contract was slotted as minimal starter money. Another example of big paydays trickling down.

Former 2nd round pick, T. Jenkins (28), a former starter for Chi and back-up last year who started 4 games for Cle at RG, got a 1Y $4M deal. He’s penciled in as the starting RG for Cle.

C. Volston (28), former 4th round pick who was IR’d in preseason last year, signed a 1Y $3.2M deal to start at LG for Tenn. Cinci replaced Volston with D. Risner.

C. Ford (29), a former 2nd round pick and versatile back-up OL for Cinci, got a 1Y $3M. He played 109 snaps at RG for Cinci last year and is penciled in as a back-up OT.

Was on campus when Michael Graham was there. Remember a game against Depaul when there was some nastiness in the paint and the kid playing C at the time (Perry McDonald) got punched by someone and responded with a single punch that floored the dude. Perry at 6'4" was a gold gloves boxer.

The Big East back then played the most physical ball in the country, rougher than the Western Conference teams in the NBA.

Yah I'm not going to sweat what they paid Burford.

How are you going to name a bunch of Big East teams while talking college basketball and not say UCONN?

#Raiders G Spencer Burford has allowed 12 pressures through three games, the 4th most of any NFL OL this season

Trading back in the 2025 draft instead of taking a guard in round two looming large.

Caleb Rodgers and Charles Grant nowhere in sight.

How is that Mia OG doing?
I don't know, what I do know is that a bunch of linemen came off the board in round two including right before they picked Bech.
Are all of them dudes looking like busts?

Tate Ratledge went right before Bech, I think he's been pretty good for the Lions.
2 OG went at or after 2.37 before Raiders R3 pick. Is 2 the new “bunch”? Ratledge was rated 3.66 per consensus. Bech was rated 2.59. By process, you trade down for one of them plus two comp 3rd picks.
