We get the best TE in the draft last year..... We get the best RB in the draft (allegedly) this year.... and we still can't win.

That's probably one of the best illustrations of why this is a QB league. If we don't get the QB situation fixed while they're in their rookie contracts, we will have wasted 2 very good picks.

I’d say it’s an oline league, look what Mac Jones’s did last night. Daniel jones and Sam darnold got out on a competent teams with decent lines and all of a sudden they’re playing like pro bowlers

Mac Jones looks like he is in his rookie form. He did a good Tom Brady impression with all those accurate throws

Maybe they kept him out longer because he had a concussion and a history of it. Who knows, maybe he’s a cocky dickhead and was sat to say get in your lane and do your job. He also sucked week 1 and then rung his bell at practice.
The offense coaching is definitely suspect. Defense seems better with Pete.

It gets tougher for me end of October when golf courses close and I’m forced to find something else to do on Sundays.

Almost forced to watch the massacres.
 
When an o-lineman misses a couple of stunts he has played like shit and won't be long for the NFL. That whole line didn't know who to block. What is lost in that is all the other plays that need to be evaluated in a young lineman. If they can't watch the tape and see the upside, they can't evaluate talent.

The way they have handled JPJ has been a complete clusterfuck and not rooted in the tape.
 
Whatever is/has been going on with JPJ is obviously an off the field issue. The thing about personnel stuff is that leadership never really gets to tell their side publicly. Usually when there's one constant, that's your problem though. Unless the world really just is out to get him.

Look at all the characters Madden delt with back in the day, coaching isn't just about X's and O's.

The false narrative of position battles and competition doesn't hold water and is really just a way throwing him under the bus in public.

I hope he forces a trade.

This isn't the 1970's anymore. Kids these days are mentally fragile. OG is a more important position than C and JPJ has the skill set to be elite at OG. If the staff wants their best player at the most important position then suck that shit up and do it. The position battle likely has little to do with skill set and everything to do with attitude. By all evidence the issue is that he's a man child.
