Welcome to the team - RB Ashton Jeanty

I was one of the dummies pounding the table to sign Lamont Jordan. :banghead:
Although I eventually got behind the signing (as I do), I was fucking furious when we signed Lamont. That was the year we had the #1 overall pick in the draft and I really, really wanted Adrian Peterson. Once we signed Lamont, I knew that wasn’t going to happen and we were going Jamarcus with the first overall pick

I think your memory is off old man, we signed Lamont in 2005 and Jamarcus was drafted in 2007.

Season ending injury incoming.

Can't find it, but between mini-camp and training camp Taiwan Jones vaulted with a flip over a parked car on concrete. Never got injured, just had a coaching staff with no idea how to use his skill set.

That was the right draft, but he has the timeline mixed up. Jordan came the same off-season with the Moss trade. By that draft, everyone had soured on Jordan. I was never a fan of the signing. Outside of Michael Turner, I can't remember any of the second fiddle backs ever doing shit once they left to be the man. I wanted Peterson too, but I wanted to trade down for him. Was not a fan of the Kool-Aid Man nor Brady Quinn. My bad idea was trading for Leftwich to go with him, lol. Oops. He's still ruining offenses even as an unemployed OC in 2025.

Quality STer seems to have been the best use of his skill set.

Those jokers talked him up so much. In the end, he was just an elite special teams guy. Side note, who was that RB that would come to camp every year in that era and tear it up in preseason just to get cut at the end.
