A tree fell across the street one lot over last week, sometime late in the evening. A couple county vehicles were parked in front of my house, lights flashing. I thought the fucking law was here. Gave me flashbacks for a second. Went outside and watched a county worker fight his chainsaw for a good ten minutes before he finally got it to crank. I would have gone inside sooner, but he saw me watching him fail and I think that made the experience more frustrating for him. So, of course, I had to stand outside and supervise.
