I’d like to see the percentage of NFL starters who play good football but who showed little as rookies. It doesn’t take bad coaching for a rookie not to raise his game to NFL level competition. For the first time rookies are playing grown ass men who might practice 24/7/365. Add in poor coaching, do you even need to label it a “mulligan”? It’s no small part of what being on a rookie deal is about, no?
