We’ve pissed away much higher picks. At least this guy has some skills. Hopefully he can give us a little something before that knee gives out.

Yep I take that swing all day.

If it doesn’t work out you burned a 4th you didn’t pick Damon Arnette or Gareon Conley in round one and spit shine it for 3 years.
 
This one feels like the Maurice Hurst one. Skilled, questionable health, questionable longevity.

Hurst ended up being a JAG on the field, but borderline 1st round guys turn into JAGs in the NFL all the time.

Hopefully this one strikes gold. If not, there's not a whole lot of value lost. Raiders have burned much higher picks on questionable talent and questionable health.

Good post and that is a great comp. realistically Hurst ended up a good day 3 pick. Not a great one.

40 games for us, a dozen or so starts. Some sacks and pressures and 1500 or so snaps.

Thats ok in round 4

Yeah, a JAG in the 5th turned out to be a valuable pick when you consider there are 5th rounders that don't even make the final 53-man roster.

Every team needs JAGs and you'd rather have that on Day 3 than on Day 1.

How fast can a would be college senior who has not played since he got injured as a sophomore get up to NFL speed and be ready to play? Little optimistic to think he can step right into the CB2 role.

Faster than if he had surgery and was another year removed.
