Welcome to the team - Hezekiah Masses

Those dummies know who they were lol.
I was especilly impressed with the linebackers he brought in too...lol. Really sucks because I loved him at USC.

ESPN's Louis Riddick raves about Cal CB Hezekiah Masses, calling the #Raiders' No. 175 pick 'a 5th-round steal.'

"He only had 4.51 speed but at 6-foot, 179 pounds, you find something on tape that this kid can't do as far as all the different disciplines you ask a corner to play. Press, off-man, zone, play with instincts, finish on the football, compete in the run game. It all shows up on tape for him time and time and time again. He's not afraid to take chances on the football... This is a 5th-round steal to me. He is going to make the roster and play on Sundays."

Did you hear about the Amish prostitute? She had three mennonite. :rimshot:

5.195 Masses’ getting little pub. He does not have traits like 4.112 Richardson, which is why he fell. But he’s a better football player (especially in zone coverages) coming out of college per Zierlein (Z) and Steelers Depot (SD), who really likes him. Both graded Masses higher than Richardson, who might be CB6 or cut for a better ST player.

4.112 Richardson
  • Z: 5.94 (R4 projection)
  • SD: 6.6 (R5 projection)
5.195 Masses
  • Z: 5.97 (R5-R6 projection)
  • SD: 7.5 (R3-R4 projection)

I actually don’t know what any of the numbers or initials mean but I gave you an effort like.

Higher is better than lower. The numbers enable you to (a) compare prospects between different years and (b) understand the depth of a class.

For example, the ‘24 draft was not deep at CB, which is why Zierlein projected a 5.94 graded prospect in R4. In contrast, the ‘26 draft reportedly was deep at CB. Zierlein’s R5-R6 projection of a 5.97 graded prospect reflects that depth.

Why Lance Zierlien and Steelers depot? What happened to the Arif guy?

Where is the colors?

Arif does not use numeric grades; it is just a compiled big board. McShay uses grades but his grades constantly change (go up and down) to match his big board’s player ranking.

In contrast, Zierlien and Steelers Depot put a numeric grade on players pre-combine, based on film review. As a traits guy, that’s another reason I like it. I can overlay my preference for a high RAS onto Zierlein and Steeler Depot’s film-based grades.

What does Todd think?
McShay (MS) ranked him 5.173—two spots from the 5.175 pick. It was one of four picks McShay unbelievably nailed in Spytech’s (ST) draft.
  • Stukes: S4 (MS-36) S3 (ST-38)
  • Crawford: Edge12 (MS-69) Edge13 (ST-67)
  • Masses: CB23 (MS-173) CB22 (ST-175)
  • Benson: WR27 (MS-197) WR30 (ST-195)
