Welcome to the team - HC Pete Carroll (who has the energy of someone half his age)

Seems it could be very important for us to build an offensive line around our QBOTF considering all these factors. (With what we know of our line last year, Pete Carroll's history and Geno Smith's tendencies).

Curious to see what it looks like with Kelly and Philbin.

I'm not sure how much is on Pete vs. Schneider though. They drafted 8 OL players in the first three rounds of the draft, mostly 1 & 2 over that time, most just sucked. plenty of guys in the later rounds too. Might be Schneider's nose for scouting the position. TWT I guess.

Was Cable the OL coach for all of those picks?

I agree. Carroll had poor offensive lines many seasons in Seattle.

Glazed Donuts better make a sophomore jump. Miller has to stay healthy.

But I’m still concerned with the offensive line,” Myers continued. “So many [draft analysts] are saying Ashton Jeanty, the running back, to the Raiders at six. That’s fantastic if your offensive line is up to snuff. That’s my big concern.”

The thing I like most about our two OL drafted last year is they are both young as hell. Both were 21 when drafted with JPJ just turning 22 in January this year. Glazers will be 23 in Aug

He had 6 top 5 rushing seasons, including a couple 1 overall, and a couple just outside of top 10.

Pass protection always sucked but part of that was Russell Wilson just being a QB that takes a lot of sacks.
I still say having DL chase him all over gods green earth helped them by the 4th qtr

I think he was involved in some of the dogshit that was drafted in Seattle though.

For sure. I remember a long time ago reading an interview with Schneider where he talked about Cable straight up refusing to coach anyone he didn't sign off on. I think Cable was a legit bully lol.

He didn’t last long in Seattle. Is he out of coaching now?

Houston Roughnecks. Not a good team.

UFL starts next Friday, btw.
What the fuck is a UFL

How is Geno on that front?

Seems his sack numbers were quite high too.

Like the guy projected to go #1 overall has a tendency to play hero ball -- waiting for deep balls to open. On a team with a poor run game and a wet noodle interior O-line, that will lead to sacks.
