Welcome to the team - Gardner Minshew

KC easily.
Well, if that’s the definition of a below 7 point scoring day, AP bears just as much responsibility. He told AP to take zero risks—no sacks, no pics, punt if/as necessary. He did his job. Team won.

Y1 O’Connell still have 5 20+ scoring days compared to Jimmy and Hoyer’s 1 20+ scoring day.

Assuming AO'C’s floor or ceiling after 9 games is just plain dumb. Spin it how you want, he didn’t score in a game, he put up 40 in another game. He was a 3rd string 4th round rookie. Nobody knows what he will be in his 2nd year. He could go on to have a game managers type role like Tom Brady. He could also sit on the bench all year due to Minshew and or a drafted guy being better.

What he hasn’t shown is a reason for us to just sit on our hands in the draft and ignore QB in the draft. Heading into the draft we absolutely have to draft a QB at some point.
I assume it will be earlier than later.

Brady was a pretty good 'game manager'. I'll take it.
For a few years he was as a true game manager. Especially his 2nd year which was basically his first year. Had like 4 full games where he didn’t throw a TD. Had an ugly FG only game towards the end of the season as well. At least he completed a pass in the 2nd half though.

Seven rings? Works for me no matter what you want to all him! ;)

I am not saying that is his upside…
Just that he could be that game manager that Brady was his second year behind a great defense. Again I would hope we don’t just settle for AO'C Minshew as the likelihood he progresses beyond a game manager role is unlikely.

As it stands right now, I’d rather see Aidan as the starter on opening day than little ass boy.

Complete opposite for me. If Aiden is our week one starter then we have failed the off-season. I hope w draft our guy in the 1st round and then park him behind Minshew for the entire season. Ideally Aiden spends the season on the Practice Squad.

This only makes sense only if Minshew plays better than he has historically. If not, and O’Connell earns his higher spot on the depth chart, you’d demote O’Connell? Is that b/c you like his stash better?

We both hope Telescope drafts a 1st round QB. But that does not mean the rookie is going to play better than O’Connell let alone Minshew W1.
