Oh for fucks sake Fernando is about as hispanic as I am.
The term Hispanic comes from Spanish or Spain. Both his mom and dad are from Spanish descent he is Hispanic as it gets.

Not to be confused with Latino which is used as a blanket term for Latin speaking people in the Americas. Portugal also colonized in South America (Brazil) and the people descended from the Portuguese in them countries are not Hispanic.

You’re like a walking encyclopedia.

Maybe a controversial take, but...

I think we should start Mendoza. The biggest reason for keeping him on the bench was that we didn't want him to get beaten up behind a sub-par OL. However, the OL is doing a good job of protecting Cousins, who is seriously immobile.

Also, while Cousins raises our floor, he limits our ceiling. He's been very efficient, but it's obvious that defenses don't feel threatened by him going deep on them, and are packing the box which also stifles the running game.

I am really enjoying getting some wins, but Cousins isn't the future and Mendoza is. I'd trade a few more wins this year for Mendoza getting much-needed experience with live bullets.

Thoughts?

Benching a QB who's playing well and winning games sounds like a big "Fuck you" to the locker room to me. As long as Cousins plays well, you have to stick with him; at least until the team is mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

I don’t think so. They’ll ride the Cousins train as far as it takes them, as they should. Fernando is a big study guy and so none of what’s going on will get past him and that is a good thing. @Crow is right, the folks like Maxx and Miller deserve some positive outcomes after the crazy shit they’ve been through. Stay the course and let the chips fall where they fall.

I agree with your points not the timing, Cousin has his game manager trent dilfer going on we are playing great including last Sunday so don't touch him if we slow down with a few loses hopefully the kid is great and we never sit him but don't change anything now we're cooking

Cousins had the shit kicked out of him in KC. At this rate those calling for Mendoza will get their wish probably sooner rather than later.
Cousins knows where to go with the ball and is able to avoid taking sacks. Had that been our old starting QB that couldn't manipulate a pocket to save his life he would have been sacked four times and limped off the field in the second quarter.

Mendoza isn't ready for that pass rush and quick decision making yet.

Shitty pass protection and no running game I would sacrifice A fucking useless bum, he hasn't known anything else anyway.

This is where my head is at too. He'll get in there out of necessity most likely. Can't make a change with Cousins playing as well as he is either.

Geno did take a bunch of unnecessary sacks.
