Welcome to the team - Eric Stokes

The wise man knoweth which way the wind doth blow; and pisses he not into it.

Stokes can only play press man coverage. He gets toasted in zone. I expect him to fill a very specific role bc he is not starting material. CB is still a major need. Jones isnt trustworhty and the other young guys may not be ready or worthy either.

Im pissed that Will Johnson has absolutely went MIA w injuries since mid college season. People forget he was one of the players slated at #1 overall and top 5 until he got injured and had a rough year/offseason. Im starting to doubt my Lil Al pick bc its hard to take a guy w those issues at #6. Barron is a good player but that feels early for him too. I think that R2/3 slot holds more value at CB in this draft.

I do think Will Johnson is going to be a star tho if he does stay healthy. He put up great tape against major talent and dealt with some elite pro prospect WR's like (M.Harrison, Smith, Odunze etc) He made a ton of huge plays on that national championship run too

But even a Michigan homer like me cant ignore the lack of testing numbers and injury stuff. He needs to come out for his private work out and show off his speed and agility (he has the size and production you want IMO) If he could prove his speed and health he's worth #6 to me. Pete Carrrol likes big physical CB's who make plays on the ball. Spytek wants a guy who is a football player.

I fear if its not Johnson its gonna be Jeanty. So Im hoping he runs before the draft and checks some boxes.

TLDR: Stokes is cheeks and we need a starter still from this draft or a trade.

exactly where I’m at with WJ. And I also think Jeanty will be the BPA when we pick.

Big pass from me. He will behind the 8 ball rehabbing this season as rookie camps are just around the corner. So tired of drafting dudes that are basically redshirted their first year. Raiders must lead the league in drafting injured players.
