Denver raised their offensive ranking to 17th from 19th and now goes to Oakland to face the 9th ranked defense. The Raiders give up the 14th fewest points in the league and Denver has put up the 11th fewest.
The league’s worst offense goes up against Denver’s 15th ranked defense. The Raiders put up fewer points than any other team and the Broncos give up the fewest points in the league. Sounds like a compelling argument there, or depressing, depending upon which side of the fence you’re on.
Denver’s offense is beginning to find itself. And while their defense is giving up more and more yards they’re still not giving up the points. The Raiders still don’t block consistently, and while their offense is beginning to look like it can do more than three things marginally well, they still don’t do enough to mount consistent drives or score. Is this the week they figure it out? Don’t bet on it. The under is looking really good right about now.
