Knee surgery. expects to be back for TC.

Puts him in a pretty definite 3rd strong spot with alot of catching up to do. I guess he's putting in bionic joints to keep up with the other running qb's.

Like clockwork... but at least he outlasted Fargas this year...

::looks around for tommygirl:: So who won the pool? I had Walter going down on July 13th myself...

A strong breeze on the field and this guy needs surgery...

A big ol pussy.

The drafting of a potential franchise QB makes more sense each day IMO. I'm glad the Raiders, unlike myself, didn't get cold feet and pass on Russell.

Yeah, and sucking it up all season and playing through the pain was such a pussy thing to do.

Its pointless to even get into it with people making those cheap shots. Not much he can do to please them ever unless he became mvp with over 5,000 yards passing. Case and point right below me.

True.

I mean, its not like this guy misses any significant time due to injuries...

He's officially a third string QB. Where he belongs.

Got damn shame, I was hoping to get to see him in this new system in pre-season

The silver (and black) lining here is that Russell will get more reps during mini-camp as a result of Walter's absence. That is a good thing.

Well Walter and Fargas have been known to tear up the hospital flag football league during injury rehab year after year so those kind of numbers may indeed be in reach... If BMW can qualify by pulling a groin or straining a shoulder next year, Andrew should be golden once he has a go to receiver...

How Walter got to continue starting week after week, while Tui only got like two starts in five years.... makes no sense.

Walter's chances of starting another game in Oakland have to be slim to none.

It wasnt his fault entirely though.

On the few occasions he didnt fumble a snap or hold onto the ball too long, opposing team players kept jumping in front of his passes...so he cant be blamed for those.

The true Question is will he even be missed???????

That still wouldn't be enough. He wasn't a "first round pick" don't you know. Some people are just willfully ignorant and classless. So what's new?

I suppose that he should be blamed for all of the dropped passes too huh? WTF am I doing even responding to your BS posts? I'm slipping.

As much as I hate Porter, I dont think I'd find much enjoyment in him getting injured at this point. not really much a fan imo if you're taking it to that level. Team comes first and Walter's been pretty professional about the way the offseason has gone and the regular season for the most part. Can't say i have any quarrels with him no matter where he is on the depth chart come september. I know a couple people dont mean anything by the humor(injury jokes are too wide open not to get some of it), but I know a couple do whether they'd admit it or not. For those nameless geniuses it is pretty weak to hold negative grudge on a guy who busted his ass on the field last year when half the offense didn't. We drafted Russell and acquired McCown, the shit has been over. Relax and let the chips fall where they may this season.

Boy, I'm glad the Matt Stinchcomb, Fat Momo Collins (sorry Bones),Trace Armstrong, Justin Fargas, and Sam Williams peeps never got this bent when I made fun of them for pulling yearly whirlpool watch...

Yeah we don't need no stinkin' QB.

Walter is the epitome of health, and didnt get a fair shake last season.

The dude was a freaking third round pick...

One in six third round QB's end up becoming starters...We didnt end up with one.
