Walsh, Shell, Collins on Moss

I remember alot of talk going into this play....

"We're playing Sunday night against Denver and we call a play where Randy can run a post corner or a hook," Walsh recalled. "He runs the corner with Champ Bailey sitting on that route. Terrible read. He should have run the hook, which was wide open. Walter throws it up anyway and Bailey intercepts it.

This was also the play when Randy had his little "Fuuuuck Andrew" moment on TV.

F/ck Moss. F/ck Walsh.

Sounds like a couple of guys (Moss and Walsh) pointing fingers at each other trying to pass the blame off. I blame both of those a-holes. Moss is a quitter. Walsh is just stuck in the 80's and couldn't adjust OR take the heat apparently.

Anyway, I'm way beyond that. The past is the past. Looking forward to the "New" Raiders in 2007.

As a side note, isn't this the most fun time of the year? :o

Last several years, I'd say preseason has been the most fun time of the year. :(

There's always some positive way of looking at the preseason games, and the renewed hope is both legitimate and understandable.

Moss is a complete disgrace to the integrity of the game. Every person who has ever played football should want this guys phemor to bust out of his thigh on monday night football. His quotes are laughable at best. "None of my teamates or coaches have any problems with me", no they are just professional Randy we know you dont understand that. Besides, superbowl ring wearing HOF'er Warren Sapp absolutly trashed Randy last year. He said football isnt a family its a brotherhood, because when the baby is whining the team doesnt stop to take care of the baby(Moss) like in a family, add that with Walsh, Shells, Marty's and Simms/ a bunch of the players from his Vikes days and there are plenty of coaches and players talking smack on him.Notice how he never once talks about the fans. Brady's won three rings without Randy so adding him isnt doing squat. Randy can buy a trophy off e-bay and have it mean more. He is like a 40 year old former little league player going to fantasy baseball camp to play with the stars. Give him a free trophy cause he cant earn one himself? Bill B is losing my repect by the minute. Randy Moss is a complete horses ass, at least Terrell Owens plays his butt off. Im pretty sure every great player on a bad team was frusterated with losing, what makes this guy better than any of those guys? Marino would have liked a superbowl but he didnt completly trash the Dolphins for not getting him one. Its about class. I hope his children have a better role model. If they grow up to be like him I feel sorry for them.

When can you get a great player for a 4th round draft pick? Obviously he is no longer worth his weight. Him and Stallworth will both get hurt all year anyway. Then it will be 2nd round+ worhty Wes welker and paper Reche Caldwell. They should have spent that money on another MLB. Hows it feel to be worth less to the Pats than Wes Welker!!!!!! ego check....

F/ck Moss. F/ck Walsh.

I'll second that.... The Pats seem like they've caught about every break this century... Isn't it about time that the football Gods take a huge, gigantic wet crap on them?... It would be doubly sweet if it happens the year they add Moss and throw a bunch of money into free agency...

Dear Football Gods,

Tom Brady is madly tossing sperm around like it's confetti at a parade... Bill Belichick is fooling around with married women... It's time to put them all in check... When you crap on that town and it's team, please do your best to miss massraider...

Thanks,

Your bestest friend hawaiianboy
xxoo

Paper Reche. That's awesome. How did that guy make it through 3 years at Florida with me never hearing that nickname?

I made that one up as far as I know(weed clause) I have a best friends who likes the Dolts... I have made 4,435 Norv Turner jokes so far. He cant say shit because he crapped on me when we hired Norvellina.

The Pats acquired two of the most explosive field stretching WR's in the NFL. Spin it whatever way you want, but even Marty admitted that when he's motivated he's still the same force.

I say fuck Moss because he didn't want to be here, but i also can't say i'm not pissed that we sent him to NE. Of all the non-afc west team in the afc, that was last on the list of places to chuck him to for me.

Paper Reche?

LOL.

Fuckin Pats.*

Did this guy hit head or something?

"I understand that an organization pays me a certain amount of dollars to make things happen and when things don't happen, of course I get mad. Of course I get angry.

I think what I have done in the past as far as losing and getting out of control, I think it's just my competetive nature of wanting to win and helping my team get into a position to win."

What the fuck is this guy talking about

Oh, you got us into a position alright Randy, the Ned Betty drop yer panties, bend over and squeal like a pig postion... thanks alot pal

You can't make this stuff up, we're paying this turd 10 mil a year and he's "scary in pregame warmups" :p

What a misserable bunch we had here last season, all wrestling to throw eachother under the bus... God I'm glad it's over and all those guys are outta here...screw all those clowns.

I fully expect Moss to start out hot and finish the season gimping around with his buddy Stallworth on the sidlines.

Screw both a 'em!

And screw the patriots!

And screw Tom Brady!

And screw the Vikings!

The point that Moss didnt work on the skills that help recievers stay productive late in their careers, is so true. No doubt he is a one trick pony. Doesnt block or hustle, doesnt go over the middle, his route's are crap, teams know he only runs when getting the ball, and the worst part his hands have gone too. He did not look sharp catching the ball when it hit him last year.He also wouldnt let that Raiders check out his knee?? Sketchy. 4.3 shit. more like 4.49

If that guy had a work ethic like Rice...good lord.

I mean, Rice was a Hall of Fame caliber whiner...but the man put in work. Moss is just a selfish, shameless taint and should definitely have both of his hips pop out of place just on principle.

Report: Favre wanted trade after draft
By CHRIS JENKINS, AP Sports Writer

Sun May 13, 4:31 PM

MILWAUKEE - The Green Bay Packers left Brett Favre fuming when they didn't pull off a trade for wide receiver Randy Moss during the NFL draft.

But was the three-time MVP angry enough to ask his way out of Green Bay?

Amid public grousing from Favre about the state of his team over the weekend, a report on the Fox Sports Web site, citing anonymous sources, said Favre's agent called Packers general manager Ted Thompson to request a trade a few days after last month's draft.

According to the report, Packers coach Mike McCarthy later called the quarterback and was able to calm his anger, getting Favre to admit that he didn't really want to play elsewhere.

In a statement posted on the Packers' Web site, Thompson said he would not address the specifics of the report but understood the frustration Favre vented in interviews over the weekend.

``I think it's natural for a player to be frustrated from time to time - that's simply being human,'' Thompson said. ``Everyone knows that Brett Favre is all about winning. As an organization, we share that commitment. And we want to win now.''

Other Packers officials and Favre's agent, James ``Bus'' Cook, did not return telephone messages from The Associated Press on Sunday.

The Packers' mandatory minicamp begins Friday, and it was not clear whether Favre, who had surgery to remove bone spurs from his left ankle in late February, would attend. McCarthy said during the team's rookie orientation last weekend that he expected Favre to be present, even if he wasn't able to practice while he continues to recover from the surgery.

Favre didn't mention anything about wanting a trade in interviews he conducted during his annual charity golf tournament in Tunica, Miss. on Saturday. But Favre did make it clear that he believed the Packers passed on a chance to make ``a steal'' of a deal for Moss, who instead was traded from Oakland to New England April 29.

``He was going to wipe his contract clean and sign for $3 million guaranteed, plus a fourth-round draft pick. That would have been a steal,'' Favre told the Biloxi (Miss.) Sun-Herald. ``But we were not willing to guarantee part of that $3 million. I even had (Cook) call up there and tell them I would give up part of my salary to guarantee that part of the money. Apparently that wasn't enough either.''

Favre, who has flirted with retirement during the past several offseasons, told the team in February that he would return for his 17th NFL season.

But he now wonders whether the Packers want to move on without him as part of a long-term rebuilding movement, a sentiment he has hinted at in the past. Thompson and McCarthy have consistently said that they want Favre to keep playing.

Favre said he has faith in the team's desire to win, but wonders whether the Packers won't become a contender again until after he retires. Green Bay improved from 4-12 in 2005 to 8-8 last season, but hasn't made any major additions through free agency.

``I don't know if I've lost faith, and I think everyone in the organization wants to win,'' Favre told the paper. ``I just don't know if it includes me. If it's going to be five years from now, I'm not going to be here. This is 17 years for me and I want to win.''

Thompson said he is optimistic about the team's chances to win right away. The Packers have locked up several of their own key defensive players to long-term deals this offseason, including cornerback Al Harris, linebacker Nick Barnett and defensive lineman Cullen Jenkins.

``We feel like we've had a great offseason program - our guys are getting bigger and stronger - and we'll improve from within,'' Thompson said. ``We're also excited about the players we've added through the draft and what those players will bring to our team.''

.......Atleast I can Laugh at Favre? Though I still hate that we gave the Pats a silver Platter SB shot.

"Hey Walsh, when we gonna run some playground stuff?" "I didn't want to run a 6 on the dirt." "...out of 28 plays 13 or 14 busts." And people still blame Walsh for the receiver route combos. Funny stuff.

Yeah.

He had nothing to do with all the other stuff our wide receivers were running.

Davis should have given him another chance to get his offense up to snuff.

Walsh has spent years designing playbooks for football video games. How dare we question his viability as an NFL coordinator.
