Raiders Visit Vikings
The last time these two teams met, the Raiders beat the Minnesota Vikings 28-18 on Sunday, November 16, 2003, in Oakland.
The Oakland Raiders, The Team of the Decades and members of the American Football Conference Western Division, face the National Football Conference North Division Minnesota Vikings this Monday at The Metrodome. The game marks the second for the Raiders while the Vikings are playing in their 2006 preseason opener.
TELEVISION: This week's game will be televised on ESPN with Mike Tirico, Joe Theismann and Tony Kornheiser calling the game, with Suzy Kolber and Michele Tafoya reporting from the sidelines.
RADIO: KSFO 560 AM is the Raiders flagship for the multi-state Raiders Radio Network. Greg Papa and former Raiders player, assistant and head coach Tom Flores will man the booth for the 10th straight year. The pregame show and postgame show will feature Raider Legends George Atkinson and David Humm along with KGO's Rich Walcoff.
RAIDERS-VIKINGS SERIES: This is the third time the Raiders and Vikings will meet in the preseason. The Vikings are up 2-0 in the series. The Raiders and Vikings last met in the preseason on August 22, 2003 in Oakland. The Raiders and Vikings have played 11 times in the regular season and the Silver and Black lead the series 8-3, with the first game having been played on September 9, 1973 in Minnesota.
