Unreliable Sources

I'm just surprised Kiffen would be open to it, considering Carroll is his godfather and that would leave him coordinator less, though I had heard he was leaning to the OC from Jax that got let go should both current OC's get coaching offers...

The Kiffen family is a strange breed. Lane Kiffen actually turned down an assistant position under Gruden when he took the assistant position under Carroll. Best part about the story is that his old man Monte Kiffen told him he'd be better off working under Carroll than under Gruden.

I still want no part of Sark or the college coach ball washing... but Kiffen is an interesting dude. Sure would light a fire under somebody's ass if it turns out Kiffen takes an assistant position with Davis after turning down an assistant position with Gruden.

Patience grasshoppah..

I'm not patient

The read that both Sarky and Kiffin spending time viewing red zone TD's from NFL games gives me a boner

Couple those two togther and its like banging two coconuts instead of one

I'm climaxing over here..... quick Fang, do me a solid and....... pinch it off...

Wait, never mind... Ill just tie a knot in it

Kiffisian - the two headed beast

I know this: Two bright, young, energetic guys that feed off each other can accomplish much more than two out of touch older guys (Shell / Walsh). I love this idea - vintage Davis. Right before death he comes full circle back to USC and the Raiduhs return to glory for his keen ability to read the tea leaves.

Not bragging, but I called for this when the rumor started gaining momentum:

How Sarkisian could get the job
I say only if he brings Kiffin with him as OC.
And I could even have play in the pool:

Unless you blow it (Like Sherman asking the Bidwells for 4M a year), doesn't second interview = job offer in the NFL.
I'll take 1/20 in the pool.

I never get any of this shit right, so you can almost certainly bet that it won't go down like this.
Sad

Am I the only one that thinks Pete Carrol is a fine college coach, but is pretty pedestrian as an NFL coach?

I think if he had another stint in the NFL it might go better. His job at USC is so sweet i dont know why he would ever leave. His patriot teams were not too bad.

I think the other thing to consider here is that there just aren't many coaches that go straight from the college game to the pros and do well (yes, I know Sark was a QB coach here for a couple years.. but that's not the same thing as a HC or even an OC position).

At this point, I think all we can do is put our head between our knees and hope that the floatation device actually serves a useful purpose other than patronizing passification.

I don't know what to say about this...

Cher was born Cherilyn Sarkisian on May 20, 1946.

Tell me we're not hiring a cousin.

If he shows up in assless chaps we'll know we have a problem.

Its cool because McMullet looks like the kid from mask anyway!

I think the Sarkisian thing has been going on so long and all these "insiders" keep telling me he has the job so I have come to feel comfortable with the choice. I don't seem to remember there being such a favourite last time except we were waiting for Whisenhunt so the belief was that he was the man. The previous time didn't it look like we were waiting on Weis and Crennel and then plucked Turner out of nowhere?

Although I would love to see the situation resolved so we can start to concentrate on other matters, I would like to see McDaniels brought in for an interview to see what he has. I do wonder who he might like to bring as OC and looked at the Oline coach, but he has been with the Patriots for 20+ years.
